On Feb 3, 2020, the SC announced that it would investigate AirAsia, just three days after prosecutors in the UK named the budget airline in a US$4 billion settlement deal with Airbus over allegations that the aircraft manufacturer had bribed officials worldwide to secure orders for its planes.
Among others, Britain’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said Airbus had paid a bribe of US$50 million to secure plane orders from AirAsia.
In its response, the SC said that details revealed in the case against Airbus had disclosed “several allegations against AirAsia Group Bhd and AirAsia X Bhd........... "

Stony is spending all the money he can like no tomorrow with no plan is submitting a PN17 regularisation plan to Bursa.
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 15): Capital A Bhd (formerly known as AirAsia Group Bhd) has said that it is in the midst of raising more than RM400 million to build the country's biggest integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
The megaproject will be undertaken by its wholly-owned engineering arm, Asia Digital Engineering (ADE).
The fundraising exercise comes within two months after the aviation group completed its rights issue last December that raised RM974.5 million. Prior to that, the group, which has slipped into PN17 status, also raised RM336.48 million from the private placement of new shares and received a RM500 million credit facility from Danajamin in 2021.
such negativity and unloved for AA. I made casino money that day cos i saw the volume and momentum and sold at 0.66. Now, i have accumulated enough AA to be more than 10% of my shareholding. I stand by AA for now
SSlee. TQ for highlighting your concerns. Knowing you, i know you mean no malice. Actually, i foresee AA Q4 results gonna show improvements after AAX results. Yes, AA got a big hole to cover, how they gonna cover it i don't know. I bought AA again because i just admire Tony's entrepreneurship. I had a talk with logistic people and the one that really benefits from the freight rate increases are not the brokers but vessels/aircraft owners. AA very smart to expand Teleport. I also hope AA gonna win 1 of 5 digital banking license end of March. Yes, digital bank doesn't mean profit. But even without profit, the license gonna worth a lot of money already. (if they got it) The previous round i made money in AA too and i sold because Covid was dragging longer than i thought. But now, i guess everyone already get used to Covid. My town, you could see that food businesses are packed again. I had flew AA twice and both time 80% full. I have flights every month but now mainly MAS due to time schedule. But i gonna switch to AA soon because they are allowed full schedule in March. Anyway, i just like Tony's entrepreneurship and i wish AA to survive. As long as Tony not crooked CEO like most Bursa goreng stocks i am ok if he fails. At least he fought for it. Btw, Sapura Energy is also not a con company. Sapura actually my major customers and i got outstandings more than 1 year. I still stand by them and in fact i have accumulated enough Sapura shares to be in their Top 40 share holders haha
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
