Ya, but the question is when its going to rebound. Really long term. I still like its strategy though. Sell off its landbank in Johor and venture oversea, but lets see whether they can manouver this smoothly or they might have to sell their landbank at a cheap price

ks55, REIT like FD loh, steady steady no up no down. But company who major do REIT is very limited in progressing, unless the group increase its asset like adding new building for service, production then only can boost it revenue. I also IGB one, never scare of mid valley occupancy man, huhu

Will China investors ni cancel their bookings or even sell their properties in Iskandar to top up margin calls??

I ingat dulu bila orang Middle East cancelled their investment in Iskandar, Iskandar terus terbuntut for 10 years.

Calvin sampai sekarang pun banyak excited about Iskandar. Hari hari excited. Ramai expert sudah tulis Iskandar jatuh tetapi Calvin yang masih ada harap.

Calvin suka beli saham yang murah. Orang jual saya beli. Inikali lah saya harap dapat UEMS harga 80 sen.

KUALA LUMPUR: - Tokyo-based Mitsui and Co Ltd has entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with Nusajaya Tech Park Sdn Bhd to undertake a 10.7-hectare development, comprising build-to-suit (BTS) properties for lease in Iskandar Malaysia.

The project will have an estimated gross development value of RM468 million over four years.

Mitsui and Co has experience and know-how in the areas of industrial property development, management and leasing, while Nusajaya Tech Park Sdn Bhd is jointly owned by business space solutions provider Ascendas and property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd.

"The developed area, Nusajaya Tech Park, combines three partners that shall be well-positioned to provide differentiated solutions to Japanese corporations in Iskandar Malaysia as well as attracts new wave of Japanese investments into the region," Nusajaya said in a statement, here today.

The park will also benefit from potential synergies with a smart city project that Mitsui is undertaking in the Medini District within Iskandar Malaysia, it added.

Designed for a range of light medium industries, Nusajaya Tech Park offers an eco-friendly business environment with integrated industrial, commercial spaces, dormitories, amenities and support facilities.

It is also the first township in Malaysia to be awarded Singapore's Building and Construction Authority's Green Mark for Districts - Gold (Provisional) Award. -- BERNAMA

Retailers should not touch this counter.. Let the institutions do their collection/disposal and we should enter only when they finally decide to push up or dispose this stock... Currently, it is in a downwards/sideways trend and it may take 1year or so to go up.. Might as well invest in high return stocks :)

The Singaporean government has told its people to be “wary” about the Johor property market due to an oversupply of houses, according to reports from the city state.

“That might reduce Singaporeans’ appetite for Johor properties,” says an observer.

Only 50% true! For high rise high end condos only. Last week I visited Ecoworld in Kota Masai. All 2 storey houses priced Rm460k to Rm480k totally sold out.

Today I just came back from Estuari, Puteri Harbour by UEMS. Of the 85 units 24x75 2 storey house at Rm1.39 mil about over 40 units already sold. Official launch is 8 August 2015. See Star papers today.

So there are 2 markets in Iskandar. A glut on high rise condo. A still healthy demand for landed properties. In fact the wrong dissemination of distorted news will cause many to miss out on the wonderful bargains of 2nd houses which are still cheap relative to KL and Penang. Wise investors are taking this opportunity to grab available houses still priced reasonably in Iskandar.

And so I am very bullish.

Many are foolishly thinking that there is a crash. Not true at all. You better buy some landed houses while they are still cheap!

So the newspapers are wrong! These reporters sitting in their arm chair know next to nothing about the true picture of Iskandar. Calvin travels widely to all parts of booming Iskandar every day. I see the rise of a powerful metropolis - Iskandar is the fastest growing region on planet earth for the next 30 years.

Anwar says demand by businesses for factories has been strong, giving the example of SiLC (Southern Industrial and Logistics clusters), an RM1.3bil GDV project.

“We have sold out the two phases of the project. Now we have close to 300 acres of SiLC phase 3. The queries for phase 3 are tremendous. The price of phase 3 is 15 times that of phase 1. Now, it is RM100 per sq ft for an industrial park. It is really picking up,” he says.

Selling industrial lots fits into UEM Sunrise’s plans of creating critical mass in Iskandar.

By having businesses locating their operations in Iskandar, UEM Sunrise hopes the employment created will feed into the demand for homes.
