hkc1969, I think TAGB is listing a Hospitality REIT, maybe in August'2017. The five-star hotel cum serviced apartment project is located next to the headquarters of Menara TA on Jalan P Ramlee that is directly across from the KLCC towers.

i dont know why Lele aways talking about the REIT. From what i know, this "REIT" has been shelved. Lele, do you have any news to support "maybe in August 2017" for the REIT, or this is just your CON.
Why TA Enterprise? 1. TA Market value is less than % of TAGB holding 2. Share price lagging behind compared to TAGB 3. TAGB up, TA surely follow to trend higher 4. TA sell broker firm or merge, will benefit to TA 5. Conservative strategy 6. 1 stone 2 birds.
TrumpCare failed, Obamacare survived. The stock market (Dow) was going to have a big correction? For a while in the morning session it seemed it was going to have a hard landing but luckily started to recover and survive. This is a very good sign!!! People still believe he can do some magic. It could very well be a good 2017 for stocks as now they gonna work on reducing corporate tax in the U.S. Trump said he wants to achieve that by August. That hope should help the markets over the next five months at least. It is now a wonderful time for TAGB to launch it's projects. Shouldn't waste any time. It is a beautiful opportunity and the timing is Kao Kao man.

Singh1., wonderful insight on TAGB prospects. What is your view on their debts? I am of the view hat TAGB gearing is quite high. Unless they manage to dispose Little Bay Sydney to reuce their gearing , I wonder if the company has enough cash flow to proceed with so many things. Hoping to read your thought on this issue
hkc1069 The gearing looks high but in reality it is not. Let me give you an example to look at it in a simplified manner. Let us assume a house is bought in 2009 (IPO year) for $300K and down payment made was $100K. After 8 years lets say the amount owing is $150K, meaning to say over the years $50K has been paid in installments. So now the gearing will look like this... 150 / 300 = 0.5
Now gearing of 0.5 is not accurate !!
The current valuation of the property has not been taken into consideration. Still using old value from 2009. The current value has already doubled !!
The true gearing should be 150 / 600 = 0.25 Aha !! Now TAGB does not have high gearing.
That is why I am always hoping for REIT. Of course there are other ways to see increase in value and that is by selling some property (Little Bay) or launching new properties such as in DA and also beside KLCC. True value will appear but limited to the launching sites only. REIT would cover much more. Hoping for that.
Thanks singh1 for the news update and thoughts sharing. If JK sticks to what he mentioned, it will keep TAGB's momentum going. This stock is undervalued for too long and it really tests those who believe in it.
Gearing wise - totally agree with your comment as valuation of the properties in current market needs to be taken into consideration. Those properties purchased before has increased in value but people still taking old numbers for comparisons.
I am also thinking of the possible JV for Little Mountain in Canada. Let's see how it goes.
singh1, in RM quantitive terms, TAGB short and long terms loans had increased from 1b++ to 2 b++. Yes, on the other side the fixed assets had also increased. that leave TAGB little room to manourve if their fixed assets are not performing
Tony Tiah a lot of money, he need to kick out the short term traders first, so that he will repurchase with low price again. We just wait what will happen soon, I believe Tony Tiah will continue to buy it again very soon.

During the General Meeting in May'2017, we might expect some good news. Do not buy / sell first. Not until the end of April ' 2017.
