mk2507, the premium is too high.

You are better off buying mother share with margin. Payoff is bigger and risk is lower.

Say if you have RM10,000. If you buy c53 @12.5c, then you get 80000 shares.

On 31/3/2021, If Harta is below RM23.88 you get 0. that means -10000.

If Harta is RM30. Then you have 12.24c, that means you get back your RM10,000. Break even.

If Harta is RM40 on 31/3/2021, then you get 32.24c, you get RM25792.


On the other hand, if you buy mother share Harta, assume you buy around RM18 and get 555 shares, then your return is 13,253.4, 16,650, 22,200.

If you buy mother share Harta with Margin, assume you buy @ 2.5 times margin and 8% interest, you get around 1390 shares, then your return is 32300, 40900, and 54800.

Summarize as below:

You know in playing warrant, the "entrance fee" is an important consideration.

If you put in RM10,000, every one cent increase in mother share will give you RM1000, then it is not a bad bet.

If you have to put in RM50,000, every one cent increase in mother share will give you RM1000, comparatively that's a poor bet.

Most harta warrants are like that, expensive entrance fee. (c53 is another situation)

That's why I move all money into mother shares.
