2.5% drop without any good reason. Frustrating to watch the price fluctuate like a yoyo. Good if you are trading I guess.

@Anxious Most counters in Bursa went red today. Today's trading is only good for people looking to buy at dip. I was happy to buy some Maybank shares at 8.00, only for it to fall below that.

Given current sentiments, not sure it could run up to RM6.

Perhaps so, but the effect goes both ways. If you read Aminvest report:
https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/AmInvestResearch/2021-11-09-story-h1593748058-Glove_3Q21_Earnings_Wrap.jsp

"Secondly, there is sign that inefficient players have started to make loss. For example, Blue Sail Medical have registered net loss of RMB22.9m in 3Q2021 which we believe is due to the decline in ASP for gloves. Note that Blue Sail Medical is a major China gloves producer with estimated 5% market share of global medical gloves supply. Coupled with the scarcity of power supply in China as winter approach, we expect less competition from China at current low level of ASP at below USD35 per 1,000 pieces of nitrile gloves."

Pfizer said Friday that its easy-to-administer Covid-19 pill, used in combination with a widely used HIV drug, cut the risk of hospitalization or death by 89% in high-risk adults who’ve been exposed to the virus.

It’s now the second antiviral pill behind Merck’s to demonstrate strong effectiveness for treating Covid at the first sign of illness. If cleared by regulators, it would likely be a game changer in the ongoing global pandemic fight.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told CNBC the company plans to submit its data to the Food and Drug Administration before Thanksgiving.

“I think this medicine will change the way things are happening right now that will save millions and millions of lives, it has the potential to do it,” Bourla said in an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” He said the company has “the capacity right now of 500 million pills,” which he said translates to 50 million treatments. “The very high efficacy comes even to us as a surprise, exceeds our most visionary expectations we had for that.”

Nothing to say if CBP really bans Harta. But based on my research, Harta is not bad in ESG. They got AA rating in MSCI for ESG.

@stingray_ea

It's just a period of consolidation for next few months till all the earnings and ASP are normalised.

Long term fundamentals remain unchanged post pandemic.

Glove currently has no replacement and much needed in many sectors.

"Polar bear, greedy, not clever investors" are part of the risk takers who invest their hard earned money hopefully to get some returns bonus dividend. Investors are all intelligent enough to maneuvre their investment day in day out. Up and down of the share price are not within our control but the main point here Harta is a fundamentally strong company. We just hope the management will be able to ensure us the shareholders that they are worth our investment in long term, grounded in values (their new motto) and not 6ft down underground

Cerubic, you are absolutely right.

Share price beyond control of retail investors like us.

I am pretty much resigned to the fact that I am stuck with Harta for the next 2 to 3 years.

I am not selling at these prices although in the short term it may fall somemore.

Harta will most probably continue to make profits and pay dividends during that period.

Based on my average price of RM9.00, and based on the best available FD rate of 2.50%, as long as I get above 22.5 sen per annum, it will be more than FD rates.

I may average down somemore if it hits RM5.00 or less but I am doing nothing for now.

Of course in the short term it may even test RM5.00, particularly if there continues to be no interest from institutional investors in the coming months or if Dow Jones gets a 10% to 20% correction which will likely spill over to Bursa too.

There is a lot that can happen to push the price downwards in the short term.

We only need a 10% drop in Harta to bring it to RM5.00.

But in the long term , say 2 to 3 years, RM7.00 to RM8.00 is still possible.

barring another pandemic of sorts, I doubt we will see RM9.00 again, so for me averaging down when I have spare cash may be the only option whilst I wait for the clouds to clear and institutional investors return.

Anxious, good for you. I believe everybody have their own way of investing their hard earned money within their limit, wise enough to make the right decision to buy and sell when the right time come. Like jolynce and bang miskin said we win some and we may lose some, it is investment with risk afterall. Rome wasn't built in a day...you may recoup back your losses in times to come.

@Anxious, 0.352/9.00= 3.91% dividend yield for this quarter alone. That's definitely higher than the best available FD rate. Harta is loaded with cash, over RM5B cash (I stated RM3B wrongly last time), so we hope to continue receiving more handsome dividends in the coming quarters. The dividend that you receive will also help bring down your cost: 9.00-0.352= 8.65 will be your new average cost after ex-date. For me, I've bought more Harta these past two days... I'm getting more than 6% dividend yield buying at this price. I look forward to a generous birthday present this year, since the dividend will be paid out on my birth date! hehe!

Kudos to the management!

The best strategy for this co whose share price is tanking is to reward the shareholders by squeezing as much dividends as possible.

This will be a great compensation for shareholders who are suffering a massive capital loss.

The lessons I've learnt from investing in Harta, I will remember a lifetime.

But no regrets.

I am happy to have made the acquaintances of all of you here. The support helps ease the pain of paper losses.

Jolynce, I may also use the dividend I earn to reinvest into Harta if it goes below RM5.00.

Bang_miskin is busy with work today takde masa nak main saham.

@Anxious Sometimes I also doubt myself on whether I am making the right decision. Every time I doubt myself. I remind myself that I always have the choice to either cut loss right now and exit, or wait it out and buy it whenever price falls to new low. I always end up with the latter option every time (well occasionally I trade when price move in my favour).

Why? Because all the evidence I have to this point tells me that Harta is an undervalued company. While they may not be the most bang for the buck (e.g. Kossan has a better return) they are (1) in a strong fiscal position (so does all glove counters), (2) they have a good reputation of managing the company, and (3) increased health awareness due to the pandemic sustain glove demand into the near future, coupled with (4) poor glove and market sentiments (thanks cukai Makmur), prices are at a bargain. To me, investing in a glove counter right now is probably the best long-term investment decision I could think of right now (Calvin Teng disagrees with me, he is banking on plantation). Most people think I am a crazy since prices are currently spiraling downwards.

Of course there is always the possibility that I am wrong (I am wrong plenty of time, that's why I'm still miskin). Maybe glove counter is a poor long term investment, who knows. But if I can read the future that well, I should've bought bitcoins when they are below RM100 a piece a decade ago.

When Harta was at RM20 , it was risky to invest. Don't buy at RM20. Right now, it's at RM5.67 , it is less risky now. If you say don't buy now, so, I am wondering how you should invest
