I usually take the more conservative approach. Need to wait for a few days of green to confirm if glove counters are rebounding.
This reminded me of the rally @ April 2021 due to the delta scare. Is today's rebound sustainable? (I hope so) It is earlier than my prediction. Only time will tell....

In light of climbing cases, I think at the very least ASP decline will be slower than expected. Remember many glove companies are ramping up production, so may not see a crazy rally like 2020. It would be nice surpise if next QR is higher than current QR, but I won't bank on it.

Just playing devil's advocate. I rather be safe than sorry.

@Thirai Thiraviam Despite the vaccine, cases are increasing for the past week or so. News about the new variant may have trigger the mass buying.

With fewer lockdown restrictions, even with the vaccine, we may be looking at a new wave of infection, which means sustained demand for gloves. Whether ASP may reverse (go back up) remains uncertain. Orders are up for sure. All I know is that most manufacturers are ramping up production and increasing their capacity.

Harta is not the cheapest counter. Of the top4 probably Kossan gives you biggest bang for the buck.

On the one hand during the 2020 rally. Supermax and topglove price increased by the most. Supermax because of their OBM pricing and Topglove because of volume.

On the other hand during the downtrend, Harta and Kossan maintained its value much better due to ESG and management quality.

I don't know enough to comment about tier2 counters. Their prices probably increased a faster during 2020 rally. I stick to the more conservative (bigger) counters

Wow.. what a superb day for gloves!! I managed to sell some TG and Harta. Could've made a lot more if I did not sell that portion of Harta at ex-date and that portion of TG before the deep dive 3 weeks ago *KICKING MYSELF LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE!!!!** Anyways...... Thankfully I still have Kossan, which I managed to buy at 2.00 level, and at this moment, it's still below ex-date price of RM2.30 so in my opinion, is the most value for money glove stock to buy!! Exactly what bang miskin said!! Pls do your own due diligence before you buy or sell ok! :)

What a day! One day gain that reverses five/six days of losses. Even though we are approaching weekend, news during those two days will be crucial. If the covid news keep coming, glove may continue to spike up. If it continue to grow like this for another few days, I could even break even and make some paper gain =)

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 26): Rubberex Corp (M) Bhd registered a net profit of RM25.22 million for its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2021 (3QFY21).On a quarter-to-quarter basis, Rubberex saw its net profits decline by 61% at RM25.22 million from RM64.66 million last quarter, while revenues were down to RM94.9 million from RM176.61 million. Earnings per share had also declined to 2.98 sen, from 7.78 sen from a quarter ago. The Management foresees further softening of glove ASP, especially in the nitrile disposable glove division,to be present for the remainder part of the year. Slower order uptakes from customers are also expected to adversely impact on the Group’s fourth quarter results.
