Gamuda is not sohai, mof cut the budget but also cut the job ok , build less 2 station of course can cut the budget mah, it make sense at all, gamuda not sohai, they won’t accept some job if it can create profit , will u ? In mandarine we say “ 没有钱赚的东西，谁会去做什么？ ” 没钱赚的东西，你会去做吗 ？

Here is some other company have participate more than 1000 millions contract in mrt 2, all also up on friday 3:30 pm, it just matter of time, it take time to rebound, maybe 1 week something

Be fearful when others are fearless and be fearless when others are fearful! I did not believe for once the PH government will retender the underground, more a psyche posturing to get a discount and lesser price. If retender process there is a strong possibility there maybe no interested tenderers and it may not be necessary cheaper. Imagine the embarrassment to PH government if that happens. Also for temporary boring machines they will be no such thing as a reverse gear as tunnel boring machines only can move forward. To retender a project at 40% completion will be suicidal for both PH and MMC-Gamuda so the way they come to an agreement augers well for both parties after the impasse. One got to gloat to the Rakyat how much they have save and the others doing par to f the national service. Gamuda is very reliant on government projects so it will be silly for them to kill the golden goose.

Gamuda is one of the hard nose and good contractor and world class in boring with no equal in Malaysia. The quality of the Smart Tunnel and KVMRT1 speak volume of their delivery prowess as these were difficult work under difficult ground conditions. A lot of the discount for the KVMRT2 underground came from omissions like the removal of stations and changes to the design/specification. Effectively it is not the straight discount but more to do with omissions which will not affect much of their profitability.

Hopefully Monday I can collect some pocket money as I hv betted on reinstatement!

This whole drama was a no brainer from the start. That's why I bought with eyes closed. For sure gov't was not going to re-tender the contract and kick the most sophisticated construction company in Malaysia in the nuts. No way it was going to happen. After renegotiation , reinstatement was happening for sure. Only question was, cost reduction by how much? Now we know. The future is bright for this NO. 1 among local construction company. When MRT 3 is restarted, Gamuda will once again be the favorite to win the project, if not GE 15 PH gonna get a kick in the nuts for breaking the rice bowl of their supporters and there will be revenge in the polls. All the new heads will be beheaded !!! Jangan main main PH.
