As told earlier, the offer to take over splash is definitely much higher than initial RM 250m, whether or not can meet gamuda desire target at RM 2.8 billion is still subject negotiation with potential to delay further.

Gamuda afford to wait, but not for Air Selangor which eager waiting for fund from fed gov for pipe replacement. The take over may even eventual abort, allow splash under gamuda to continue operate lucrative profit till remain 15 year concession period.

Similar to IPP case, many complaint about their lucrative concession buiness, fed giv intend to take over prematurely, but in the end, all continue till their end of concession period with most of them even getting further extension 5yr albeit at lower traffic rate due to shortage in power margin supply. In water industry, selangor is facing critical water shortage risk too due to fast pace of demand, water supply margin is very low, force state gov to build new water treatment plant at high cost and source raw water supply from other state, Pahang. Even with new water treatment plant, langat capacity is only half of the capacity if compared to current splash and only ready in next 3 year time, the continue demand from growth population and industry in state will still need to cater next.

Likewise, in water treatment concession, state gov also intend to take over, but, it also have to subject to willing buy willing sell basis in case for Kps and Puncak, which both agree the take over price due to their financial risk of unable to repay loan obligation. State gov also have partly achieve their main objective after take over syabas which is main culprit for non revenue water already. Therefore, the urgency to take over splash is less now as splash operate in very efficient and its financial also in good condition, reap profit RM 250m pa, time is with splash as it afford to wait until desire take over price is on table.

For your information, Gamuda-we is my largest stake in portfolio, at carry cost RM 1.21. But, whether to buy or not, depend on individual own discretion.

I thought i already share all my point in these thread already !!?? Ok, i just re-post back my earlier comment on 8-8-2016 below again, the time when i realize all MBSB profit at 88.5sen and then swap it all on the same day to Gamuda at 1.21..


hng33 I have swap most of the capital gain free up from MBSB to Gamuda-WE at cost 1.21 today. Gamuda WE now is my top holding in enlarge stock portfolio :D)

hng33 I now expect Gamuda to eventual trade above RM 5.00 soon or before end of the year, with target RM 5.40 next year 2017, therefore, gamuida-WE, as warrant with long tenure lifespan + attractive undemanding premium should at least trade >RM 1.50, give rise to 25% potential gain in these enlarge portfolio within a year. It is base on Gamuda EPS to increase least 10% capitalize on commencement earning from MRT2 management fee 3% profit + tunneling profit start materialize next year.

hng33 Gamuda WE will be my next wining stock in my current enlarge portfolio after MBSB which allow entire capital in portfolio to rollover by massive 50% increment, meet not only desire but exceeded initial targeted fund for early retirement. Gamuda-WE now forming about 89% of entire stake in these enlarge portfolio, with holding period 1 year. Afford now to less trading and enjoy early retirement life with growing up children :D)
