CEO & Group MD Linda Ngiam keeps selling her Star shares. It goes to show that she has no confidence even in her own stewardship of Star. The Board of Directors representing shareholders should ask her to leave the company so that she no longer milks the company further

Find a nice price and sell it off.

The special dividend is just due to disposal and its an one time off dividend. It has been announced earlier so not really a surprise, will not go too far. Back to the fundamental, STAR reported a y-o-y 50% loss in profit. Meanwhile first interim dividend reduced from 9 sen to 6 sen.

Hey I don't understand here.

RM360mil came from the contribution of the Cityneon sale in July. And yet Star reported RM1.48 million pre tax loss for Q2.

Does it mean that Star actually lost more than RM300mil last quarter? Or contributions have yet to be factored in?

But then they have already declared special dividend of 30 sen from the Cityneon sale. Does it mean already factored in?

dimsum.my, the streaming service is up against Viu (backed by Li Ka-Shing's son), iFlix, Netflix, Astro on the Go and so on.

In fact, the rights to most shows have been secured exclusively by Astro for the long term. How to compete?

I believe most dimsum users are still trial users. Try asking them the number for paid-users at the next EGM.

And most of the content are outdated, not many choices, no subs (despite the promised) and some shows that were supposed to air during their launch have yet to appear on the platform.
