One of the most stable stocks in KLSE is YTLPOWER. Worth to be look at a FD . Stay invested as they proven to be strong all the years. POWER YTL!

But this year maybe different. Renewal of IPP had not been finalised yet. If not mistaken about RM250mil per qtr revenues losses there. Hopefully they manage to gain from somewhere else and maintain the dividend.
YTL Coomunication which is under YTL Power is a pain the neck. Continue losses from qtr to qtr.

Angie, should ask your remiser why risky. Afterall, he's earning from your trade.
As smartly say above, if declare dividend, mother goes up, so is the son. But if no div, mother goes down, so is the son. Son expire in June 2018, and you need to convert by paying 1.14 per share for the mother. If during the conversion time, mother still not recover to your cost (son price + 1.14), you have to keep it long long time.
Like smartly say, if in doubt buy mother now.
Anyway let see what ytlpower has for this qtr...to get 10sen div, they will need to earn at least 2sen per share this qtr. As I have outline above, ytl comm still losing from qtr to qtr, IPP is still not renew and need capital investment for their new Indon projects.

warrant people said is using a small knife to cut the big tree, and it is considered risky when the expiration date is approaching, the important thing is will this counter continue to get the cash flow from its operating business, heard it is a cash cow, is this still valid, this counter used to very attractive and defensive stock many years back, after it venture to "YES", it lost it faith, and slowly dividend shrinking, to regain its reputation, a well dividend payout every year will help...... so a 9 or 10 or 11 cents over 1.42 price seen in last few days, will derive at least a 6% of return, therefore, if this is sustainable every years, a 10 years of holding this will results of 1.00 of dividend in hand.....
so now the faith is back to its management board whether to reward the investors who has faith with them...... and i believe there are still many people who holding the positions for many years.....who are looking forward for this......
