Indonesia Jawa Power continues operating at full capacity and contributing steady earnings, but the new Tanjung Jati may have issues as nowadays international lenders are reluctant to lend to coal power plant, but more to renewable projects. No update yet on Jordan project still pending the arbitration court case.

High oil prices may help the Jordan project to kick off faster as this project will use the indigenous fuel (oil shale) to generate power. Jordan has been relying on imported gas and oil for power generation for years, hence the idea of starting this oil share-fired power plant to help Jordan lower the fuel cost and forex losses from fuel import.

Actually the disposal of ElectraNet can generate total CASH of RM3.1bil, based on the total selling price. BUT 3rd QR only revealed part of the CASH. Hopefully the remaining portion, if any, will be shown in the 4th QR,. If this is true, another 5 sens as Final Dividend will be possible, and make a total of 7 sens. That why i said im satisfied the 2 sens dividend before.

I remember reading somewhere that dividends would remain 4 to 5 sen. Rest of the electranet proceeds would be plough back to the biz. Tough luck, they would not share the spoils.

MIDF stated a 16.5% increase in power capacity of PowerSeraya after the completion of Tuaspring acquisition, that is true for total registered capacity.
My earlier stated 20% capacity increase was for effective capacity, which is the new F-class combined-cycle gas turbine. PowerSeraya has other open-cycled gas turbine and old oil-fired steam turbines which are less efficient.

To compete in Singapore competitive electricity market, power generation efficiency is the key, more so when gas prices are high now. This 396MW efficient capacity from Tuaspring will add to PowerSeraya's efficient capacity of roughly 2,000MW, enabling it to compete with other power companies.

correct, the desalination plant used electricity from this Tuaspring power plant when they were under the same owner then. Now it can buy electricity from PowerSeraya.

Dont care about all the bullsh*T acquisition, good incoming qr, MOUs etc etc. Operator is disposing their shares to water fish and the disposal operation is gonna finish. There might be a technical breakout. But the breakout wont last. That's when u know this stock is gonna crash and burn.

Power seraya got some power plant which is very old type, efficiency is very low and very not environmental friendly. This power plant should be REPLACED. I don’t have the figure how much MW power plant should be replaced.

The fact is power plant need to be repowering from time to time to meet the current need in term of power efficiency and environmental friendly. This acquisition safe a lot of replacement or repowering fund. It’s very expensive nowadays if you build a new power plant.

For me, i don't really care about whether OPERATOR is disposing or acquiring, i’m really care about the 2 sens dividend which will pocket in at the end of June.

This meant a lot for me, especially during this high inflation period, most of the goods price keep increasing.

The total electricity generation capacity decreased from 12,563.6 MW in 2019 to 12,021.1 MW in 2020 largely due to the retirement of generation units that had reached their “end-of-lifespan”.

If the light yellow Tuaspring refer the YTLP's Tuassping, seems like, this power plant still keep functioning.

Tuaspring power plant should have continued operating though at lower operating rates in 2020-2021 when it was undergoing ownership change from Hyflux to PowerSeraya. It should be able to operate at full capacity once PowerSeraya takes over.

You can see from the chart that PowerSeraya generating capacity reduced in 1H2021 as they retired some of the oil oil-fired power units. The completion of Tuaspring acquisition is timely to replace these oil machines.
