I think recent pull back is partly due to price adjustment after the entitlement of ESOS. Excellent profit margin and dividend payout companies usually enjoy higher premium on share price(higher PE). I doubt Uchitec PE will go as low as 12, but at 15 or below should be a good buy.
By referring back to their annual report, the managing director Ted Kao did mentioned that details of new product development is deemed as confidential(agreement between Uchitec and customers) until the time is right for official announcement.. That's why nothing much is disclosed.
Uchi is a very stable and countable company, and at its own league. I am not really worry if the price is not moving and in fact, I will invest more if the revenue keeps growing and dividend is getting more. My concern is if such a huge profit margin is sustainable in the future, in case competition is heating up.
This kind of stock is like defenders in a football team. When the striker(growth stocks) are not doing well, it ensures at least you won't loose the match.
Dividend Q4 2018 7 sen vs 8 Sen (Q4 2017). Dividend will be paid in Aug 2019, doubt there’s gonna be any excitement for such a long period. Steady company but business as usual.
Most investors are waiting for the shares of company like this to drop further, so that can accumulate... meaning that not a lot of current investors are willing to let go. Do not expect its share price to drop substantially or you will be disappointed.
Historically, Uchitec share price is traded at higher premium and enjoy an average PE of 15 and above. You should be smilling in the dream if you can get close to that.
