FPSO Maria Quitéria begins operations in the pre-salt Campos Basin

evan1313 evan1313

Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras communicates that FPSO Maria Quitéria initiated today production operations in the Jubarte field, located in the pre-salt Campos Basin in the area known as Parque das Baleias, in the State of Espírito Santo.

The unit has the capacity to produce up to 100 thousand barrels of oil per day and process up to 5 million cubic meters of gas daily. The project will have eight producing wells and eight injectors.

FPSO Maria Quitéria began operating before scheduled, given that the initial forecast was for 2025, according to the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.

The platform is equipped with technologies to reduce emissions with greater operational efficiency combined with a reduction of around 24% in operational greenhouse gas emissions.

The FPSO, which measures 156 meters high and 333 meters long, is installed in a water depth of 1,385 meters, in the Jubarte field.

Parque das Baleias Integrated Project

The Parque das Baleias area is formed by the Jubarte, Baleia Anã, Cachalote, Caxaréu, Pirambú and Mangangá fields. Jubarte, the first filed, was discovered in 2001. In 2019, Petrobras and the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) signed an extension agreement for the concession term of the new unified Jubarte field until 2056, which allowed the FPSO Maria Quitéria to be implemented, a new production system for the Parque das Baleias Integrated Project, in addition to other complementary projects in the area.

Three other platforms are currently in operation at Parque das Baleias: P-57, P-58 and FPSO Cidade de Anchieta. With the operational startup of Maria Quitéria, this unit will account for approximately 40% of the field’s production when it is completed.

Petrobras is the sole holder of production rights for the Jubarte field.

You need money/borrowing to build FPSO and solar power plant.
I do not have complain on borrowing but why Company do SBB to support price?

Company should not do SBB to support price, let Mr.Market determine the price as I am still waiting to collect more Yinson below Philip price.

I dont like SBB too. I think the market has spoken, the only way for the share price to go up is to reduce the debt. winning projects, completing them or having higher earnings does not move the stock price. Take care of the FCF.

The company do share buy back to improve its ROE and EPS, making it appear more efficient and potentially more attractive to investors 😁

Posted by Philip ( buy what you understand) > 2 weeks ago | Report Abuse

SBB for undervalued company not only support price, but actually increase earnings per share and revenue per share, making my shares that much more valuable.

first they complain debt too high, then they complain low dividend, then they complain share buy back. what else will people complain about? one thing for sure this is not like jaks where rights issue until no amount of earnings become worth it.

Im not sure what you mean, I bought yinson when it was a 1 billion dollar company, now grow to 8 billion dollar company, which is worth around 2 bil usd market cap, with order book of 22 billion usd in incoming revenues that will be secure once we have completed first oil. Expect to have increase in earnings revenue and debt pare down by january next year onwards, as we are also expecting another earlier than expected delivery for their FPSO... how many power plants do you know are delivered and start generating power earlier than expected?

Hoho how is FPSO Atlanta 1st oil by August 2024 progress , any progress update ?

Let’s do an illustration if Delayed A Day :

"In July 2023, Yinson Production exercised its option to purchase FPSO Atlanta, which includes a 15-year firm plus a five-year option contract for the supply, operations and maintenance with a total contract value of up to US$1.981 billion (US$1=RM4. 71),” it said in a joint statement.

USD 1.981 billion x 4.30 = RM 8.52 billion/ 15 years x 365 days

1st oil if delayed of 1 Day Shl incurred Revenue Loss = RM 1.56 million/ day

Another risk : Currency exchange rate USD to RM is dropped to 4.30 from 4.71 .

FPSO Atlanta is delayed how many months ??? (That 50,000-bpd vessel arrived in the Atlanta field offshore Brazil in May, and was initially expected to be commissioned in February this year.)

Of the two vessels, FPSO Atlanta, which is serving client Enauta, is still awaiting go-ahead for first oil, according to news reports in September. That 50,000-bpd vessel arrived in the Atlanta field offshore Brazil in May, and was initially expected to be commissioned in February this year.

Another FPSO, the 120,000-bpd Agogo for client Azule Energy is expected to be completed by 2025 for commissioning by 2026, according to Yinson's investor presentation.

Hoho until 2048 … let’s see the Loans n Borrowings can be reduced by end 2025 ???

The delivery strengthens Yinson's long-term partnership with Petrobras, Yinson Production chief executive officer Flemming Grønnegaard said.

“We have been steadily growing our operations in Brazil over the past few years, and with FPSO Maria Quitéria joining our fleet, we look forward to further contributing to the country’s energy needs and help drive Brazil’s economic and communities’ growth,” he added.

The group, via Yinson Production, has nine floating assets including two en-route for delivery, with a total order book of over US$22 billion (RM94.69 billion) lasting until 2048.
