Thank you anbz for checking up on Bursa website regarding PM Corp's proposed Capital Consolidation & Cash Distribution. The general public won't know this piece of news. It was announced by Directors in the Share Holder's AGM in Port Dickson.

On follow up conversation Mr. Ho Chun Fuat (MUI's Public Relation Officer) he only disclosed what is permissible & legal:=

1) IT WILL GO THROUGH. Interpreted it means The Proposed Cash Distribution Will Be On.

2) COMPANY ALSO NEED MONEY. He did not specify whether PM CORP, OR MUI BERHAD OR Tan Sri Datuk Khoo himself need money.

3) PRICE WILL GO UP. With the positive announcement of Share Consolidation the share price is expected to receive positive response from investor. So PM Corp price will go up.

4) As to the amount of money to be distributed, he cannot disclose. Announcement can only be made officially through Bursa KLSE. So there is no scam.

Agreed with nallayak that we have too many townships in JB . The present population will never support the many townships built . S'poreans r reserved to put their monies here too due to security reasons . Left only Indons n Banglas where they r most likely not tempted with the millions of RM spent to own a property here . Our Malaysians only in minority may afford the price tags . The second home project may attract some foreigners who r cash rich . Beware what is happening in most major China secondary cities that have been reported ended up as ghost towns ? No buyers n no peoples r coming around ? With the overhanging QE , EU debt crises , US Trillion debts , wars in imminent and currency speculators r abound . Do u still think we will be spared ???? No doubt it will boom but for short term . For long term , will see property as curse?

You can only get tasty kuey teow goreng in Penang. If you send the tukang goreng to KL, he may not be able to produce the same quality of kuey teow. You need right person, right place and right time. I don't think the timing is right for the making of second SP Setia. Johor property market has been grossly overhyped. :)))

Eco world has had 2 very successful launch over the weekend. One in KL and One in JB. Both of them are balloted and available units all picked up. This should bode well for Focal Aims. Initially i thought that Eco world is still fairly raw since they just acquired the land recntly. But they have proven to hit the ground running as evident by their successful property launch over the weekend. Also Eco World has had their infrastructure set up as many SP Setia staff are already working for Eco world....so judging by what the mkt see, Focal Aims should reach SP Setia share price level very soon .

sure Zam. Your fair value is based on Focal old business. The mkt is pricing it post RTO...so you need to see what Focal is worth aft Eco's asset and business is pumped into it.

property bubbles in the making ...either sp setia , eco-world or focal or whatever are they , slowly contributing to the property downturn in yet to come sooner or later. Property sold r all hyped coz they themselves marked them to show that their properties r selling like hot cakes but in actual fact , it will be a different story after 2-3 months, somehow or rather , some buyers r offering for sale at a higher price n reasons given going to migrate ? This has been going on for umpteen years ? Nobody care about it but rather toe the bubble line ? How long it may last is anybody guess. Mai c masuk lo....
