The issue with calvin is that he is promoting palm oil without having done a single day of work in the farm himself before. His is the confidence of the fun manager who thinks that after 3 hours of reading he suddenly knows more about the industry than the palm oil planters themselves.
Question 1: Why is it that small planters like me are hesitant to invest deeply into buying more land and palm oil companies during the speculation years? The simple answer is we lived through the hyper speculation of 2012 when prices were good and we were also there tending the farm during the drops from 2017 until 2019. Which is why we only speculated or traded during the price increase of 2020-21.
But why dont I invest? The cost of fertilizer has increased by 7x (which is why I bought Pchem in 2019, for the huge urea plant with crazy net margins of 25-30% net net, with ukraine pricing of fertilizer has increase by almost 5x. Just ask any farmer, the price increase is due to shortage of workers and input costs, not due to demand increase. Profits will stabilize far faster than you realize, and costs will bring down all the previous profits won.

what does calvin know about palm oil plantations? Absolutely nothing. He lives in a apartment in singapore with barely any knowledge of growing crops. And you think he can tell you the future of palm oil stocks?

By the 1980% he convert palm oil to cooking oil for sale from house to house

So long ago more than 40 years

Now Singapore does not have palm oil. Neither tin, rubber, petroleum or timber forest. Neither fishery nor mining

Yet Singapore has the biggest palm oil called Wilmar listed and traded here

Singapore has a higher per Capita income 5x more than Malaysia even without all these industries

So remember this

Pls put in all these factors before u want to invest in palm oil counters.
The net profit increase alot when cpo raise to 6000++ previously and now drop to 3k +.
The fertilizer price raise 2-3x since the war time in urkrain-russia and now still keep going up.
The cost for cpo definitely is no longer as mentioned by him before and also the net profit go down.
Those investers are pumping multi-billions in indonesia esp jarkarta area but not kalimantan. Once the factories are all set up, impossible they will move their plants.
The kalimantan is an undevelop lands. Big lands, with no infra. The development of roads, port, railway, airport, and others take decades. Plus, u need skill workers which also required decades to train, and accumulate them.
So since cpo is not making much, the land in kalimantan they have also, wont make profit for now, but may be after 1 decade.
TSH price definitely will be tested along these fluactuations over the years.
I guess it will just fluactuate around there.
And i wonder too, why i3 allow such spammers, and scammers to wander around.
Shall we create some race and religion issue and make bring it to the relevant authorities only then they will do something?

The book value of Tsh bought in year 2008 is still listed at old book value of only Rm5000 an acre 15 years ago never revalue before since then

Today lands in Nusantara are up 5x to 10x

Latest is 350000 rupiah per SQ meter or about Rm405,000 per acre for those located near new presidential palace of Nusantara

Lands in putrajaya was only 13 sen psf or Rm5000 per acre long ago

Today lands psf in Putrajaya is Rm50 to Rm100 per SQ feet

No more even Rm1 or Rm5 psf

For Tsh its book value in Nusantara land remains at only 13 sen psf

in year 2019 Cpo was Rm2200 a ton and cost of Cpo production Rm1400

profit then was Rm800 per ton just enough to pay bank loan and overhead

current Cpo for 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 has gone up to Rm3600 - Rm4500 (as high as Rm6000 in 2022)

while cost of Cpo production up Rm2000

as a result profit has also up by Rm1600 or more

Resulting in cash inflow to pare down bank loans leaving surplus cash to pay good dividends

All these got more cash than debt - Hs plant, Taann Sop, Tsh resources, Innoplant and others

and can expect good dividend payout of double digits

this palm oil sector got visible earnings as long as Cpo

rm3000 is good
rm3500 is excellent
rm4000 is exceptional

anything above Rm4000 will be extra bonus

cost of cpo production up from Rm1400 to Rm2000 was due to

high wage cost
high fetilizer cost

now to save cost they go automation

also natural gas has dropped 68% from usd10 to usd3.20

fertilizer cost coming down will boost Tsh and all palm oil bottom lines

another very good booster will come from Indonesia implementing B35 from current B30 which will soak up extra 3 million tonnes of Cpo into biofuel

and price of Cpo will sustain

Taann paid 10% dividend

Fgv 9.1% dividend

Bplant paid 16% for 2 years

Jtiasa after long pause paid 2.8 sen dividend

even Thplant paid 1.5 sen dividend

and Hs plant paid excellent 20.5 sen divident or more than 10/%

Tsh last year paid 11 sen dividend which is highest in its history and we can expect more this fruitful year

so we holding solid companies with good earnings to give good dividend payout

And dividend cannot lie
