Few years back, CEO of the company targeted to achieve 1b revenue in few years time.

Last year wrote the same goal in 2015 annual report, think still have to wait another few years.

this is an investment counter not a trading counter. Aerospace biz expansion projected to start at end 2017 to fulfill exisiting additional orders. Meanwhile, long term investors who bought at much lower price would be more than happy to top up and buy on any dip

Yup sifu CFTrader. This stock no need check price everyday.. Earnings should be flattish till the next expansion. Meanwhile just collect dividend. Defensive part of portfolio

This is a normal reaction when decrease in profit for a quarter or two ppl starts throwing away the shares. Absolutely normal. Sam's ttm ROE & ROIC contracted slightly but still decent and better than costs of capital. It has 3.5B backlog and its future earning is still pretty healthy.
I m waiting for its share to drop more. This is my thought process on Sam and formulate my nx short term action on this stock basing on latest data available.

instead of waiting for price, I suggest you use timing to help you to make investment decision (for this stock). Come back again early next year to check on the price. Play by ear, no hard and fast rule.

Alternatively you can start nibbling now all the way until end 2017 (not for me though, a bit too early)

but if you take a long term view, you can start accumulating now and build up a gigantic gigantic position throughout 2017. The stock might not do well in first half of 2017, but will make you very rich beyond that
