Gangguan kepada pengeluaran, stok dan logistik era pandemik yang ditambah teruk oleh perang di Ukraine telah melonjakkan kadar inflasi dunia ke antara paras tertinggi sejak 40 tahun lalu.

Sebagai negara pengekspot komoditi yang besar, Malaysia ada kelebihan dalam situasi ini.

Harga-harga komoditi kini pada harga yang amat tinggi.

Harga sawit adalah 3 hingga 4 kali ganda berbanding harga sebelum pandemik bermula.

Harga gas asli pula naik sehingga 10 kali ganda lebih tinggi.

Itulah sebab Petronas mampu melaporkan keuntungan besar sebanyak RM23 bilion bagi 3 bulan pertama tahun ini.

Tidak mustahil sekiranya keuntungan mencecah RM100 bilion bagi keseluruhan tahun ini.

Keuntungan-keuntungan syarikat perladangan besar juga berganda 3 hingga 4 kali ganda berbanding sebelum pandemik.

Begitu juga dengan sektor pembuatan elektronik yang sedang berkembang pesat dengan permintaan dunia yang tinggi.

Kita terkesan dari satu sudut tetapi kita juga penerima manfaat dari kedua-dua krisis ini dari segi pendapatan susulan harga global komoditi yang mencecah paras tertinggi.

Sebab itu, ianya adalah adil dan patut bahawa kerajaan mengenakan cukai yang lebih ke atas sektor-sektor ini disamping memastikan sektor-sektor ini diberi perhatian khusus supaya mereka dapat memanfaatkan sepenuhya keadaan harga yang tinggi ini,

Erti kata lain kita memudahkan sektor-sektor ini meningkatkan pengeluaran tetapi kerajaan ambil sebahagian "durian runtuh" untuk membantu sektor-sektor lain yang terjejas serta untuk meredakan cabaran inflasi ketika ini

Dana yang lebih boleh digunakan untuk memberi lebih bantuan tunai kepada Rakyat paling terjejas dengan kenaikan harga.

Program pertanian dan penanaman makanan berskala amat besar boleh dimulakan dengan kerjasama kerajaan-kerajaan negeri supaya kita kurang bergantung kepada import.

Peruntukan bagi subsidi bahan makanan dan bahan binaan boleh dipertingkatkan agar pengeluar, pengimport serta sektor pembinaan tidak mengalami kerugian atau terpaksa henti beroperasi susulan harga yang tidak dapat dikawal.

Skim pinjaman mudah dengan jaminan kerajaan berskala lebih besar boleh disediakan bagi perniagaan-perniagaan yang sedang mengalami masalah.

Namun kesemua ini patut dipercepatkan dari segi perlaksanaan dan dikurangkan birokrasi sekiranya cadangan-cadangan ini diterima.

Speed and efficiency in execution is the priority.

There is no such thing as impossible. This is Malaysia Boleh. If we think SERB is in worst off predicament than SAP and can KAW TIM the creditors, surely with a bit of nudge, nudge here and there as well as a bit of hard negotiation SAP also can KAW TIM.
