How much Malaysia Gov subsidy to rakyat is beyond comprehension. 23billion to keep 2million Civil servant
per year ( world largest based on per capital income).....30billion for Petrol subsidy( nobody complaint )...
10--15billion loan to states( never pay back )....another 50--60billion to keep various Gov project (benefit
rakyat... NGO included)..... Added-Up 120billion Subsidy just bcos Current Gov wants to get Elected again in GE15......

It's good to give opinions on both sides of the coin in public investor forums. Only Atm there are more negatives vs positives going for SEB due to bad Mgt since 2014...Also government grants if any should be for national & public interest such as preservation of jobs n not used to pay off creditors or bail out shareholders...

asking LGE why. Bailout SAP when Oil price was $30 and whole world decide to go Green.. Answer is Lau Ma
said it is a Malay kind of thing and DAP should stay Out
Now Oil price is $100 and Oil infarstructure need atleast 800billion / year investment to gain back 5 years
of underinvestment. ( EU has taken the stand to kick Russian Oil by end of 2022---1mil barrel / Day )
SAP has great opportunity to take New projects with good price Or Sell existing Asset with Higher Value
if given 1--2year of waiting time.

..In 2019, Sapura was given a cash injection of RM2.68 billion by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) in return for a 40% stake in the firm. Why should the rakyat agree to yet another cash injection? Why waste more good money?

Despite the continuing resurgence of crude oil prices (after the dip in prices over five years ago), and PNB’s help only three years ago, why is Sapura’s performance still bad?

Najib wants to save Sapura from bankruptcy, but who will help the rakyat if the government has no money? We are aware that the country is heavily in debt. Why should a nation in debt help out rich people and their ailing companies, so they do not go broke?

Many Malaysians are out of jobs, and businesses have been forced to shut down. Many struggle just to put food on the table, with some holding two or three jobs to earn enough. To survive, many have used up their life savings and are now digging deep into their EPF reserves.

With the trial – if it takes place – the rakyat will be able to know how public listed companies are run. They will be able to find out about the wastage, the exorbitant salaries and perks, the poor decision making, the choice of investments, and the losses incurred.

Last year, The Edge reported that speculation was rife that Sapura’s shareholders were furious with Shahril’s remuneration package. His take-home pay was said to be RM84.24 million in 2017 and RM71.92 million in 2018

Sap fleet of Drilling platform ( SeaDrill ) is now worth alot more, given steel price has appreciated 200%.
To built a Drilling platform from scratch, it takes 3.5years. Oil price may tumble back to $80 after 3years.
Who knows PNB might Buy SAP drilling platform for Velesto to make Velesto the biggest Driller in Asia
while indirectly injecting Liquidity to SAP thereby maintaining Drilling capacity for Petronas. One stone kill

for Sale....chances are MoF might finance Velesto SeaDrill Bid ( also a bailout for SAP )

One year later, despite the cash injections, the change in members of the board, a new management team, refinancing, and selective bidding for jobs, he warned that the group may have to make tough calls if it is unable to reach workable compromises with its customers to recover or limit losses.

If the government agrees to save Sapura with public funds, the rakyat may wonder why the company should be bailed out yet again. It is not as if it has not been helped before; PNB already gave it a cash injection in 2019.

Perhaps the trial – if it takes place – will throw light on what really went wrong....why scared to know the truth.

Irony..can the forum justified. Oil&gas recovery..price up. But SE claimed to be global players dwindling into the ocean...going opposite direction into the graveyard of zombie. Impairments excuses are just too outdated to be the main culprit...bail out already done 2019 of Rm 2.4 bill or so..but faster it spiral down..ceo and bods simply exited to their liking handsome persnl gain..company becoming zombiesssss....yet asking for more? Shahril obviously Duped Mahathir and PNB about the actual financial condition of SAP in First Bailout.
When PNB finally found out, they kicked Shahril Out but Sap books gets from Bad to worst. Most Legacy
projects actually cannot move due to Covid( 2yrs) and Demand of Oil Demand Hit almost 20% Down.
Contracts were delay causing massive Cash flow problem ( main cause of impairment loss )
I think Ukraine/Russia actually might Save SAP if Gov decided on the quantum of Cash injection. Before
listing of SAP, Mahathir Son and Shahril actually has a very profitable Co. bcos where ever Petronas starts
a Porject worldwide....Mahathir Son get a piece of the lucrative project. The most profitability Oil extraction
Zone in Malaysia Water are always reserved for Mahathir Son.....This is political Connection
