The Gov. didn't do a proper research on taxing capital gain on stocks-----

1) 40--45% of Bursa stocks are Owned by PNB, EPF, KWAP, and others GLC
2) 20--30% are owned by Foreigners ( depends on season---could be down to 10% now )
3) 30% or less are owned by Mutual Funds( Banks) and Private Pension funds
4) 5% are owned High Net Worth Individuals
5) and 5% are owned by Retailers like Us.

----Capital Gain Tax is actually Hitting GLC ( why tax your Own pocket????? )
-----80% Retailers LOST money on Goreng Stock ( Gov actually got to Rebate retailers on other
taxes.....
-----Taxing on Foreigners also failed during Anwar period bcoz Bursa PE must exceed others
regional Bourse before foreigners come in----
-----extremely Bad timing to tax in 2018/2019 bcoz foreigners already rushing to USA due high
high Interest Rate and Strong $US ( main reason )

Velestro & SAPNRG suffers the same fate now.....I hope the O&G companies will recover soon. But don't know how soon? Hope like JJchan said before CNY2019. If that can become reality than it makes more logical to accumulate O&G shares now.

Anyone have any views please?

Oil companies are improving but those asset owning service contractors will take some time. This is what happen when you go all out buying assets when price was high.
