reality check, petronas upstream profit drop by 57%, i know overall only drop around 50% but that is because better margin for downstream. key point is upstream profit......., what do you think with company that provides drilling rig to the upstream oil and gas.... you think they will drill even more and petronas invest more capex until unable to pay divident to government, think again...

i find it strange that there is no merger and acquisition yet for oil & gas players.. this is a good time to consolidate, buy smaller competitors and increase the balance sheet with cheap acquisitions.. We got so many counters and it is clearly not profitable in this low price era.

@ Alex Chong haha only applies to good FA sound stock not like KNM,scomi etc LOL

Now might not be time to buy as oil is still down trending ( unless got plenty of spare cash) - of course it is affected as with most O&G stocks but once stabilizes n up trend again then can buy at good price - hopefully LOL- consider the low price as your one of those good sales :) All good stocks will eventually recover when market sentiment improves - juz cannot keep them down for long when their Fundamentals are sound :) yep be positive :)

with oil price going down and stay low for next few months until year end or early next year
