UMW Toyota also sold off all their service workshops to mercenaries
This pissed off many Toyota owners who might buy Mazda later

bauto just acquired Kia from naza....the future is bright....with this 2 brands on hand, the share price should go up further in future...but at this moment, i believe they need to absorb a lot of problems from previous owner, there might be higher expenses

From 6 April to 3 May 2021 two directors were mopping up the shares from 1.48 - 1.51.
At today's closing price of 1.45 it's a steal, in my personal opinion.

Could it be due to the impact of chip shortage? lesser production means lesser sales. Revenue might be impacted in short term. If it drops more then this will be interesting

Prior to the pandemic, the share price was RM2.00 now the company has KIA. I do not take Peugeot in consideration because I myself is skeptical about that brand. But bare in mind that BAUTO only has 20% stake in Peugeot. On the other hand, they have a full JV going on with KIA Corp.
With BAUTO track record we know they will make the sales.
Dato Sri Ben Yeoh, he has 40 yrs experience in automotive line. He began his career as a technical executive for Mercedes-Benz customers of Cycle & Carriage in 1972 for eight years.
He then joined Borneo Motors in 1979 as a technical services divisional manager for Toyota.
After familiarising himself with the Japanese automotive culture for five years, he progressed to Daihatsu Malaysia as its divisional manager.
One of his biggest contributions was recording an export sale of 30,000 units a year to Britain when he was the executive director and COO of Proton.
In 2009, he revived the Mazda brand in Malaysia and he and his team steadily worked on the Hiroshima-based car maker to consider Kulim and Malaysia as a good base for regional exports of selected models.
My personal take. Buy while you have the chance.

if next QR EPS 5sen with 2sen dividend, PE15 on FYE 21 20sen will give a valuation of RM3 by 2022. Thats a 5% dividend yield with prospect 100% capital gain.

I bet all the BOD already made this calculation.

The government has announced on 31 May 2021 that there will be another extension to the new vehicles sales tax (SST) exemption period to 31 December 2021. This is very good news and BAuto will be one of the companies benefitting from this extension.
