We bought Bplant in year 2020/21 at 57 sen when people were pessimistic selling due to algae business (rumour they might fail or siphon out money. So there was a SELL DOWN THEN.)
Now mood here has turned very positive hence price no longer cheap like 57 sen (Calvin thinks TSH & Jtiasa now got lots of negative posts and prices also sold down. There fore TSH & JTIASA Offer better Value.
if its PN17 company making huge losses, then its speculation counter. Bplant asset worth how much? now still trading below rm1. its undervalued. but will be going above rm1 very soon
It's all mere 'paper' gain if you don't lock in profit. All I read thus far is speculative. Privatization la, sell land la, LTAT takeover la and whatnot. Until corporate come out with an announcement, I don't want to miss this opportunity. Oil palm and plantation in general is seasonal and therefore its stock price. There's always another chance to re-enter at a more attractive price in the future.
Boustead Holdings and LTAT are substantial shareholders in BPlant, together they hold 69%. The remaining shareholders are small investors, most of them hold less than 1%. The records so far, the 2 major shareholders are generous to minority shareholders. We hope they will continue with their generosity.
In year 2018 after BPLANT Sold Peninsular Palm oil lands It Bought Lands in Sabah
See what BPLANT Management said
"Lodin then said 2018 is expected to be a good year with palm oil prices forecast to trade between RM2,400 and RM2,700 per tonne, driven by strong global demand".
GOOD YEAR FOR PALM OIL WHEN CPO ONLY RM2400 TO RM2700??
Read this carefully
Lodin then said 2018 is expected to be a good year with palm oil prices forecast to trade between RM2,400 and RM2,700 per tonne, driven by strong global demand.
BPLANT is historically well known for its land banks. According to this old analysis, since listing, BPLANT earnings came entirely and more from its sale of landbanks, than from plantation - https://focusmalaysia.my/boustead-plantation-is-the-company-really-in-the-plantation-biz/. Anytime there's news that someone is going to unlock its landbanks, price starts to shoot up. This is a clear goreng stock.
Below news, though not related to Bplant, is indicating LTAT/Boustead is on divestment spree. Bplant is on the card .
June 15): Boustead Holdings Bhd. is considering divesting its gas stations in Malaysia and is seeking as much as RM2 billion, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The Kuala Lumpur-based conglomerate is working with an adviser to sell Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn., also known as BHPetrol, the people said. Oil and gas companies as well as investment firms have shown interest in the deal, the people said, asking not to be identified as the process is private. The move comes after Boustead, whose backers include the country’s armed forces pension fund Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera, bought out the other shareholders of BHPetrol, one of the people said.
In the case BHPetrol, LTAT bought up the other partner (don’t know how much was paid) , then only look to divest it for a huge $2 bil price tag . For Bplant, I assume that they will also buy up the minorities first , then only divest the valuable assets . Minorities got to be smarter this round for not giving in easily and cheaply.
rohank71, you may be right . Boustead has just denied Bloomberg’s report that it has started the process of divesting BHPetrol. Judging from BPlant’s trading behavior, it could well be Bplant instead . $2 bil for 1.286 bil share owned by Boustead (excluding those held directly by LTAT)?? That works out to be around $1.55 per share. Just for general discussion purpose only . Not a buy or sell call .

Thn do u know any changes in shareholding will have to be reported in bursa? Thts y I said a few days ago, no announcements on LTAT or bstead buying bplant shares in market…
They never bought the shares when it’s 60 sen+, wht makes u think they will buy it at 80-90 sen? Thts y I got so angry whn they sold off at around RM1.20, but didn’t help to support the price when it hit so low
Brian, did I said Bstead /LTAT are the parties buying up Bplant from open market in the past few days ??? I think you are quite confused of what I said .
dont blame brian, he is simple minded. Lol. He thinks that if LTAT wants to buy, must be from open market. N its obvious big sharks who caught wind of some news is the one buying the last few days, not LTAT
if want buy ,LTAT will make voluntary takeover offer at certain price. if buy slowly from open market, buy until when? last friday volume just rm20 million already push price up 20%, if want buy few hundred million, share price easily push until wat price?
