In the case BHPetrol, LTAT bought up the other partner (don’t know how much was paid) , then only look to divest it for a huge $2 bil price tag . For Bplant, I assume that they will also buy up the minorities first , then only divest the valuable assets . Minorities got to be smarter this round for not giving in easily and cheaply.
Miracle, don’t always hoped for miracle, Bursa and CMSA have comes out lots of rules on announcement requirements to avoid insider trading and fairness to all shareholder, especially naïf investors like u, any movements by majority shareholders are monitored and reportable, unless they use proxy, which I don’t think LTAT will do that, hence what happen in the market now is lack substance
John, u dont need bother explain to brian, he is noob tin kosong who make a lot of noise, dont even know how things work. Anyway im outta here, no time entertain stock market noobs like brian, just gonna laugh to bank when bplant goes above rm1
Mr Brian, when I said they will buy up the minorities first then only divest the valuable asset , I only mean LTAT/bstead will privatize thru a GO to minorities at $x price. Buy so doing , LTAT/ Bstead will benefit a lot more from monetizing the assets after owing 100% in Bplant . You got to think laterally!
That is why I don’t understand why there are such talk of corporate actions here whn there aren’t any, does ppl know tht if they get trapped now, it will take some time to recover due to low production and CPO price…however I believed, if it get pushed to RM1, u will see LTAT dumping…
Today is rest day. Next week price action is critical. If it's true, next week should go higher. If fake news, next week will fall. Best do nothing and just queue to sell some at higher prices. Market decides whether real or fake news.
The intention of the buy and sell queues are to give wrong signal to street investors, the same number of shares keep recycle, hint, look at the velocity of the transactions, I see at least 3 person interpret it wrongly. Anyhow, offload will complete soon, then reality will come fast and furious…
Calvin, 1. LTAT had such an easy time to successfully privatize Boustead is simply because almost all of the minority shareholders threw in the towel VOLUNTARILY without a fight . I think they got fed up .
2. What’s in Bplant that attracts these ‘fed up’ ex Boustead shareholders to shift their fund here despite the bitter experience In Boustead ? 2.1. Certainly not because Bplant has better management quality! Just look at thier dismal operating results without extraordinary gain . 2.2. Certainly not because they like palm oil business as there are many undervalued good plantation counters out there more worthy to pick. 2.3. Certainly not solely because of Bplant’s undervalued assets. There are many more listed companies in Bursa presently trading at merely 20-30% of NRV. If there is no interest from controlling shareholder to undertake any corporate exercise or asset monetisation or privatization, minorities are just waiting in vain.

The attraction of BPlant lies in its huge non-core landbank of over 9,100ha that fetches a market value of RM1.29 per share of Bplant. My conservative case valued this non-core landbank at RM4.00 psf or almost RM1.80 per share of BPlant
public listed 1.2+. several years ago,. not making any losses so far.. if it is true privatisation. The price should be above rm1.20.. however how the story line work, we dont know..
1. Bplant has a long history from Boustead founding more than 100 years ago while Ijmplant was founded when Ijm was formed not too long ago
2. Bplant has 220,000 acres while Ijmplant has over 150,000 acres
3. Bplant palm oil lands located all over Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak while Ijmplant lands are in Sabah, East Kalimantan and Sumatra
Most Bplant lands in Peninsular are FREEHOLD AND LOCATED ON PRIME GROWTH BOOM AREA LIKE PENANG MAINLAND, KEDAH INDUSTRIAL ZONE, PERAK NEAR SPRIZER NEW FACTORY AND JOHOR DATA CENTER, SEASIDE AND OTHERS
IT IS COMPUTED THAT IF BPLANT WILL TO REVALUE ALL ITS ASSETS IT WILL BE WORTH MORE THAN RM5.00 PER SHARE
Anything is possible. I may speculate the possibility of it being taken private cheaply. Stripped, monetise assets and relist again at in a few years time.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
