SFC of Hongkong has proposed to make IPO sponsors liable for the contents of listing prospectus. I am doubtful it will happen in Bursa. Most likely they will be reprimanded - a slap on the wrist. What is the use? Investors have already lost their $$$.

2.There are many securities and listing laws and regulations in this country but the law oversight and enforcement is weak.Agreed FULLY with what you commented.
3.Time for such mediocre state of things to "buck up" so that the investors' rights and interest are well safeguarded all the times.
There is no other option so as to avoid the same situation from happening all over again.

In Malaysia, they laud so much about the "Malaysia Boleh" but only in form but not in strong will to get things done for the better.

On the flip side, a breakdown below RM4.34 will witness a resumption of previous selldown to retest RM4.25 (2 Aug low) and RM4.14 territory. Cut loss at RM4.20.

@gcke...securities law in mainland China is stringent too. In Jan~May this year, its Securities Commission fined and confiscated more than RMB6.14 billion. Underwriters, audit firms etc will and were held responsible too. Believe it or not, players of local market here are very "obedient" as compared to China, as we rarely see punishment or severe breaches. Regulators should periodically publish information pertaining to action taken on companies but not just asked for unusual price fluctuations (one of the common actions), this action can easily be done by requiring self reporting.

2."Everything to Hide" becomes "Nothing to Hide". The uneventful charade and saga laid bare for the public shareholders and marketplace to view and analyse.
3. Must have distressed the company stakeholders,its Investment Banks to the regulators fully.All jointly,severally and individually grim-faced now:-(((
4.They must be wondering what have hit them in such a short period of time...shocks and disbelief.

Outcome : Heavy price to pay.Trust and confidence once lost, hard to regain back.Journeying to another low.
Huhuhu... never downplayed the market-place strong reaction forces- it comes fast and furious.

NTA could be misleading. Nonetheless as this is a newly listed, most likely it represents quite a fair one.

I myself stepped into a mines land about 5 years ago, ie Malaysia AE, its NTA is double the share price but just about only a few months after received its dividend, it became insolvent and NTA eventually became zero value. "Good" auditor, management, bankers (never read its financial statements?) and regulators. The Datuk management just easily walked away with very little fine. That is our market.

We must share info and voice our concerns, together to build a transparent market, good market conducts, effective regulations, and most importantly to protect investors interests.
