KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 10): Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to maintain the overnight policy rate (OPR) at 1.75%, with the central bank citing the continued improvement in the global economy given the easing of containment measures across more economies and strong policy support.

In its Monetary Policy Statement, the bank said the reopening of production facilities led to a resumption of manufacturing and trade activity, although the recovery in the services sector has been slower.

“Financial conditions have improved, although risk aversion remains elevated. The outlook is still subject to downside risks and uncertainty, primarily due to the risk of a resurgence of the pandemic and weaker labour market conditions,” it said.

A nice positive move up today, after last Friday's afternoon interest and buying.

Some decent sized individual buying late Friday and today. If this upward move can be sustained, then look for a break of 1.38. That could possibly happen this week, as long as interest remains.

Disappointing price action today.
The chart looked sweet at the beginning of the week.
Monday started well hitting 1.29 from 1.23 within the first hour.....possibly too much too soon, then fell back with the overall market.
Tuesday's rise was more controlled, up to 1.26, then again slipped back with the overall market.
Today, Thursday, at Rm1.19 mid afternoon.....again down with the overall market.....disappointing.
See what tomorrow brings~~~~~

Any idea when they are moving to the main market of the exchange? I can't see any official date yet but I may have missed that information.

That MIGHT be a catalyst for some price movement as fund managers/Institutions could possibly add it to their energy portfolios. Purely a guess though.
There has been some significant individual buys over the last week or so, perhaps they are already taking positions.......just speculating again though.

Someone just doesn't let the share price move, hence there is not much buying interest for Slvest eventhough it has a lot of projects in its order book.

Aries, I agree with your comment that there seems to be a capper there keeping the price in check.
I mentioned in here almost 2 weeks ago that the chart was looking sweet and had an initial target of 1.38, however it only reached 1.29 intraday then fell away. I've kept a close eye on the buys since then and it does appear to now be in an accumulation phase.
It appears someone wants to hold it but also pick up stock along the way, as there have been some solid individual buys (200K-300K shares) actually chasing the shares when they can't ge their order filled at these current levels. Monday and Tuesday this week was a perfect example of that, with a couple of buyers chasing it to 1.26/1.27.
My gut feeling is to expect a sustained price move closer to the time of Main Board listing and the Quarterly report.
As for now, buy and hold and be patient, in my opinion.

Technically my indicators are showing neutral. What is clear though is a tightening of the Bollinger Bands over the last month. The BB gap (top to bottom variance) has closed from 30 points to 15 points today, which I like.
Expecting more of the same in the very short term, unless someone has a rush of blood to the head and buys big bundles :)

If you look at the weekly chart , the RSI is at the oversold region. the number of shares issued only 390.623 m. Hence , I think some party is capping the share price for accumulation. So no worry , just keep our shares and wait patiently.
