Koon Yew Yin 3rd Dec 2016
As you all know, Mr. KC Chong and I have a problem. I slept with the problem last night and when I woke up this morning, I found a solution in my hand. It is not a wet solution. It is a solid one that can really resolve our differences.
For a start we both are old and we should know that no one can win an argument, if we continue arguing. We must find a solution. Let me tell you an interesting tale by which we can find a good solution.
A rich father left 17 gold coins to his 3 sons and the rest of his asset to charity because he knew he could not take any money with him when he passed away.
When the man passed away, his 3 sons opened up the will.
The will stated that the eldest son should be given half of the 17 coins.
The middle son should be given one third of the 17 coins.
The youngest son should be given one ninth of the 17 coins.
As it is not possible to divide 17 by 2, or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, they started to fight with each other.
So, in believing there was a solution, they decided to find it. They went to see a wise man, who lived in a nearby cave. He listened patiently and thought for a while. He gave one of his gold coins to help them solve the problem. With the addition of 1 coin the total number of coins was 17 + 1 = 18.
He gave each of them their share as according to the will.
The eldest son was give half of 18 = 9 coins
The idle son was given 1/3 of 18 = 6 coins
The youngest son was given 1/9 of 18 = 2 coins.
Totaling 9 + 6 + 2 = 17 coins.
The wise man took back his coin and everyone went away happily.
Moral: The attitude of negotiation and problem solving is to find the 18th coin i.e. the common ground. Once we are able to find the common ground, the issue is resolved. It is difficult at times.
However, to reach a solution, the first step is to believe that there is a solution.
I trust KC Chong will forgive me for all the bad things I said that caused the misunderstanding.
The 3rd episod "KC Chong vs KYY" And it look like is a 2-0, total win完胜
Hmmm so he admited he wrong because he asking for forgive? But should' not he suppose to apologize and say at least " Sorry" to KC Chong? What do you guys think?
Ai ya,why make things difficult? As long one realizes and acknowledges the mistakes and indirectly asking for forgiveness,do you need him to kneel? As long KC who has a big heart acknowledges and accepts it,let bygones be bygones and hope both of them could give constructive ideas to help all to make money!Remember help them to find peace and magnanimous towards each other and NOT the "batu api",lol!
Think I dont need my popcorn after all. Thank you for both the gentlemen for making an afford to find a common ground on the understand of no "winner" in any argument if both parties dont have the will to resolve it. Congrats for the goodwill and setting a good example for us to respect.
Ya maybe you are right because KYY Is famous and he got many follower. Must give him face. You are right his article is in in directly way to say sorry by ask for forgiving. First time i see he admited he wrong. Kudos to KC Chong, u make the imposible become posible. Lol!
Remember in life we all make mistakes sometimes we don't even realize hence it's good to spend some time on reflection of your actions.Think back the reasons why prompted so many responses to your action. If only a few it could be due to some nasty people but it tells you some where not right if many negative comments.I d believe there is goodness in every person but due to EGO and ANGER which is one's enemy causes one self to react without giving in depth of one's thought and the consequences out of it.
very admirable for KYY to comment..."I trust KC Chong will forgive me for all the bad things I said that caused the misunderstanding."..It take a Great Character with a Big Heart...Hope you Two ICONs can shake hands....
This is great!!! Forgive! n Forget! Live happily Uncle Koon n Uncle Chong! Actually both investing style works! Value investing is illustrated by Graham in Security Analysis in 1934, n later for lay investor in Intelligent Investor in 1949. In 1958 Fisher wrote Common Stock n Uncommon Profit, it is more on growth investing. If u use your critical thinking both of them emphasized on value n growth, Graham more on value n Fisher more on growth. As Uncle Buffett quotes, value n growth are joined at d hip, n he is 60% Graham n 30% Fisher. So what's your style? Maybe Jesse Livermore, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, 1923!!!
"A bad beginning makes a good ending". "All is well that ends well". Let's move on and focus on our chosen path(s) in investing. All the best, everybody!
What a rubbish way of solving the problem...just say sorry mah, is it so difficult meh ? After all u have affected, KC rice bowl....don give craps coin story mah....must be fair loh....!! Also promise not to do it again mah....!!

this is a clash of investing ideologies, the conservative (KC) vs the high risk taker (KYY). KC style is defensive n KYY offensive. in the current mkt environment KC style will beat KYY style. in a bullish mkt environment KYY will win...but if he continue to trade like he does in a downtrending mkt,i expect him to lose big.
For the retailer, always pick a style suitable to ur personality.

given that KYY has attacked KC over his overly conservative approach in investing,i can only conclude that KYY has not much share trading experience,he doesn't even know KC is only practising a style compatible to his own personality.
