KL shares end lower on late selling

KUALA LUMPUR: Share prices on Bursa Malaysia end lower today on late selling ahead of the weekend, dragged down by losses in selected heavyweights.
The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 3.24 points to close at 1,873.38 points.
Among the actives, main market debutant 7-Eleven closed 15 sen better at RM1.53 with 202.15 million shares traded and Public Bank soared 98 sen to RM21.60 with 108.15 million shares changing hands.
Of the top losers, Hong Leong Financial fell 40 sen to RM15.40, Kuala Lumpur Kepong declined 32 sen to RM23.92, Maybank erased 10 sen to RM9.88, TNB eased eight sen to RM12.06 and CIMB decreased four sen to RM7.34.
Losers edged gainers by 442 to 370, with 310 counters unchanged, 498 untraded and 35 others were suspended.
Volume increased to 1.91 billion shares worth RM6.01 billion from 1.24 billion shares worth RM2.08 billion yesterday.
Hong Leong Investment Bank Research said the benchmark index was poised to gain further traction in the immediate term to retest the all-time high of 1,890
points and 1,900-point psychological barrier.
"This is because the index has successfully refilled the 1,867-1,873 gap on May 26 May," it said in a note.
On the scoreboard, the Finance Index surged 94.68 points to 17,382.62 points and the Industrial Index added 18.21 points to 3,190.22 points.
The Plantation Index fell 71.61 points to 9,074.46 points.
The FBM Emas Index was down 23.24 points to 12,945.75 points, FBMT100 Index lost 23.06 points to 12,595.27 points, FBM 70 decreased 30.72 points to
14,045.23 points and the Ace Index shed 71.68 points to 6,581.33 points.
Main Market volume improved to 1.58 billion units worth RM5.94 billion from Thursday's one billion units worth RM2.02 billion.
Turnover on the ACE market increased to 286.56 million shares valued at RM63.7 million from 152.43 million shares valued at RM52.43 million recorded
yesterday.
Warrants fell to 32.48 million units worth RM4.02 million from yesterday's 53.87 million units worth RM7.51 million.
Consumer products accounted for 67.3 million shares traded on the Main Market, industrial products 165.84 million, construction 68.63 million, trade and services 805.99 million, technology 40.32 million, infrastructure 83.56 million, SPAC 52.12 million, finance 189.84 million, hotels 4.52 million, properties 80.69 million, plantations 21.98 million, mining 77,700, REITs 8.71 million and closed/fund 27,200.-- Bernama

yeah don't know when bear attack. Even good counter hit by the bear. probably short term I hope.
