This is a div stock but ardy given 10 sen not long ago if buy now have to wait for the next payout. I would recommend SOP now coz there will be one in April !

TAAN and SOP are both solid stocks with Taan giving generous div while SOP is very stingy on div and also bcoz of many call warrants issued on SOP it is always subject to manipulations !

I certainly do not believe plantations going the gloves path. They are world apart actually , CPO even at RM3500 to RM4000 Per tonne the most ineffecient ones will still make money

Indeed Guys!. Ta Ann is the Biggest Gainer for Mabel Palm Oil on Friday..
Thanks God there is enough supply of Mabel Oil across the Globe during Ramadan and for people to continue celebrating during this month of Syawal. April stockpile hit 13-month low. Despite tight April palm oil stockpile at 1.5mt, the market seems unimpressed. This is, in part, because CPO price has lost its competitiveness vis-à-vis other major competing oils. Competing oils prices have come under substantial pressures since the start of the year. FCPO prices now trade a 6%/8% discounts to 1M FCPO which suggest that market is anticipating supply recovery in the coming months.
There were significant price pressures on sunflower oil, soyoil and rapeseed oil since the start of the year. CPO price has significantly narrowed its discounts to other major competing oils compared to 6 months ago. Reuters reported recently that Indian buyers have opted to cancel 75,000t of palm oil purchases for the first time in many years and switch to rival oils for May shipments, including sunflower oil and soyoil. We maintain our cautious view that CPO spot price will continue to stay volatile in the near term while trending lower by midyear on supply recovery.

The legal framework and infrastructure for carbon trading is aggressively being implemented by the Sarawak state government. Taann's reforestation work stands to gain from credits earned. This is not reflected at all In it's revenue.
