Investors are valuing the Malaysian power utility's existing business operations at current price levels, likely overlooking the potential value from the national blueprint, which could contribute MYR3.60 to its share price, she reckons. The government's progress on the energy transition initiatives has been commendable, she says, and reckons even more momentum in 2H. CGS raises Tenaga's target price to MYR15.60 from MYR12.00 and maintains its add rating on the stock, which is last at MYR11.34. Nice. Thanks to TENAGA and 22 other green counters to offset 12 red ones, my portfolio made new all time high again today. Today is the 5th time in April it made new all time highs. What a wonderful month it has turned out to be. Thank-you TENAGA and thank-you Mr Market! 08/04/2024 11:29 PM dompeilee While exclusively LOCAL players can earn nuthin' from the markets these 2 days, I have shares of newly demerged General Electric Aerospace & its spinoff GE Vernova, one stock to be SOLD for each holiday during the regular US trading sessions. They are legacies from a long-losing-turned-winning position taken in General Electric Inc on 31st Oct 2017, which was directly attributable to the bumper earnings from Sino Hua-An that year...🤗 A continuation of a looooong miraculous winning run of 915 consecutive market days scheduled for Friday!📈 10/04/2024 8:25 PM doubleup Tenaga is such a wonderful monopoly business. EPF's holdings in Tenaga has increased by 200,000,000 shares over this period, from about 855 million shares to over 1.065 billion. Any one knows why EPF is buying so aggressively? 24/04/2024 9:13 PM speakup Main reason is to fool Foreign investors to thinking our Malaysia economy is damn strong 24/04/2024 10:05 PM GreatDreamer TNB up on RE Thame Play. Future electricity demand growth will be stronger than in the past bcos of DC, export green electicity to Singapore, EV car etc. 24/04/2024 10:21 PM DividendGuy67 A bit of trivia. I started investing in TENAGA on 28 Apr 2021, so, it's coming to 3 years now. Over this period, my Total Return (Price gains + Dividends) from TENAGA is 15.18% per annum CAGR. If I exclude the dividends, then, Price Returns = 10.65% per annum CAGR. This suggests that the Dividend returns = 4.53% per annum CAGR. The Dividend returns is not too shabby - didn't match EPF but beats FD hands down still with 4.5% per annum over this 3 year period. But the Price gains is more than double the Dividend Yields. Moral of the story? Both Dividend Yield and Price gains matters. For a solid dividend yield stock, buy when price is low. It helps. PS. My original conservative return target at entry was around 9% per annum. This one wins faster than I had expected. 26/04/2024 12:28 AM | |
