In that capacity, Edgbaston has the power to exercise or control the exercise of, a right to vote attached to, and dispose of, or control the exercise of a power to dispose of, the shares held by the Funds. On 11 February 2019, the Edgbaston Asian Equity Trust acquired 633,000 shares of Media Prima Berhad (MPB) and the Edgbaston Asian Equity (Jersey) Trust acquired 179,700 share. This brought the Funds total number of voting shares to 44,165,900 and 12,109,500 respectively. Edgbastons aggregate voting share ownership was therefore 56,275,400 (5.07% of MPBs total voting shares).
