HENGYUAN: An open letter to Mr. Calvin Tan and Mr. Koon Yew Yin.
Dear Mr. Calvin Tan and Mr. Koon Yew Yin,
I am deeply saddened and disturbed by many i3 comments: Full of hatred, cursing, trolling, teasing, provocation, demeaning, insulting, mocking, name-calling and etc.
Have we all lost our way and our mind nowadays? Are we still cares about the truth anymore? Do we need to resort to some totally one sided opinion disregard about facts and figures and fair and objective assessment/analysis just to spite, insulting and mocking each other?
I welcome everyone to post their diverse views on investment in i3 base on fair and objective assessment/analysis so that all can benefit from the diverse information and make their informed-investment decision.
Please grown up and I would think both of you are partially responsible for what is happening now in i3. (Especially Hengyuan Forum)

Henguan Malaysia refinery is located in Malaysia and run by Malaysian and managed by professional people. Look into the board they are who and who of Malaysia. It just happen that the major shareholder now is SPHC (Shell because of their worldwide rationalization of their business assets sold Shell refinery Malaysia to SPHC after a detail evaluation) the sales was approved by Government Regulatory body as SPHC had the technology, capability and financial standing to make the company great again.
I was there at both Xingquan and CSL last AGM, and doing my best to find out the truth. You can look into my many comments in Xingquan and CSL to understand what I have done.
I am currently initiating a minority shareholders movement and urge Hengyuan shareholders to send in their Notice of Requisition to ask for better dividend and will be there at the AGM to find out the truth with my prepared question pre-email to the BOD for them to present their answers to everyone present at the AGM. If the truth is your objective then please just buy 1 lot of Hengyuan, support our requisition and attend the AGM. Maybe Mr. Calvin Tan can learn something from the AGM and apply the same strategy when he attend the Berjaya AGM and face up to TSVT.
Calvin Tan’s concern of Board restructure is valid especially the resignation of Datuk Yvonne Chia and Datuk Zianun Aishah binti Ahmad, both are the iron ladies and well known personalities in Corporate Malaysia. It is sad Hengyuan lost the distinguished service of Datuk Yvonne Chia & Datuk Zainun in the board and will surely miss their excellent service. Anyhow I would not speculate on the reason why they resigned.
I had just written an email to Hengyuan Corporate Affairs for their email address as I would like to write a personal letter to thank them for their excellent service given to Hengyuan, tell them about our minority shareholders requisition for better Dividend and Dividend policy, seek their advices and how much I will miss the golden opportunity to meet them in person in the upcoming AGM. (I had no attended Hengyuan AGM before)
Just received a WhatsApp message from Mr. Surya:
Hi Mr. Lee,
Both Datuk Yvonne & Datuk Zainun resigned from the Board of Hengyuan Refinery Company since last May 2017.
We can’t share with you their contact information as request.

As much as i appreciate SSLEE as a 'matured' adult with attempt to look at positive angles of people....
He is totally biased when it comes to valuing 'rich bastxrd's' say versus the lesser known....
also he appears to be blind due to his own vested interest...

EPS was more than RM3 but gave only 2 sen dividend, you might as well don't give at all.
Nay be:
1) Want to purposely make small shareholders angry and then dump the shares.
2) The future of the company is real bad, worth only RM2, then DY is 0.02/2= 1%.
No matter how I look at the BOD / major shareholders / Company, it is not worth for investing, may be good for trading only.

sometimes i also do not believe what i said and believe what the ghost said, put aside the bias that I must be right, we sometimes see the ghost is more truthful than our ownself

calvin has a sad life. no work before retirement age,no friend to talk,no family for support. so calvin resort to online for attention. loneliness kill a man and in calvin case,the adage is so true. live a happy life,build friendship,care for family and you will not end up like calvin, an empty soul that has no purpose in life.

SSlee, you also smell something might be fishy here. Why you always stuck with bad management type of company like xinggung, csl, insas....focus on the goods one.

Good on you, ssLee. Recognise the facts and work accordingly.
We must be rational and talk about truth only. Calvin is a bit exaggerated most of the times but he still talk about facts. Mr. Koon however, I have to verify a lot of the things he said. Mr. Koon was the second largest shareholders of Xingquan for a long time. His average price should be roughly RM1, but now he claims its 10c (and Calvin sold shares to Mr. Koon??)

Thank you for your concern that I end up with bad share. The red chip share was my bad picked before I knew of this i3 investor website on 31-8-2016. Since then with the wealth of investment information readily shared by many sifus in i3, I can say 2017 is my best profitable year. I had to admit now I am holding paper losses but very happy to see that many of my share in steel companies had recovered significantly.
I still working full time in Indonesia and like to look into i3 investor during lunch time, off office hour and off day. Yes I like to bought Low PE, have margin of safety in NTA/hidden undervalue assets and had showed improved earnings. A follower of Koon’s Golden Rule but I do not believe in “Exception proves the rule. There is always exception in any rule.” As I term it as jump the gun. I do also follow Calvin Tan’s buy call as recently I bought TA Enterprise. Calvin Tan had done his homework and written a fair and objective assessment/analysis on TA Enterprise.
By the way my family and I stay in Setia Eco Park (Semi-D) Shah Alam. I bought this house for slightly below RM 1 million during the 2009 subprime/Lehman Brother crisis. The recent launched latest phase of Semi-D price above RM 2 millions.
I have seen many people comment on Karma and GE14. I will write an open letter to Tun Dr. Mahathir on this subject in this week and post it on Tun’s blog and i3investor.

Its just a beginners' folly always low PE, high NTA , large safety margin......just a beginners' folly.
market not so stupid one...if it looks too good to be true...it is probably too good to be true.
for widows, for those no time to trade, you are better off looking at the business, at the management ...and forget about your margin of safety...its an illusion, a beginners' folly.
Please no more asking people to buy based on margin of safety....unless margin of safety means buy during bear market some excellent companies.

Salute to probability for being our spokesman during good time hengyuan Rm 18.00 and bad time Rm 6.00........probability is our hero here loh..!!
As for raider, i have not sell a single lots....when share crash from above rm 12.00 to rm 6.00 recently loh...!!
In fact i have bought loh.....!!
I could have bought more, if not for the big mouth KYY, too eagerly to come out and talk good of hengyuan loh....!!
In fact, this KYY change his bad mouthing too soon, singing sweet melody praises of ...hengyuan within a period of 5 days... if not bcos of him hengyuan crash longer and raider can buy very cheap and bcos of him hengyuan has rebounded fast loh....!!
If not for KYY promotion, Raider could have bought much more at cheaper price and bring down more my average cost loh...!!
Even it rebound, raider had not sold loh....bcos the fair longterm value of hengyuan is still rm 22.00 to rm 42.00 loh....!!
Yes raider, had average my cost lower by taking this great opportunity to average loh...!! But my cost still exceed rm 10.00 loh....!!
For the purpose of readers, just take it as Rm 12.00, the origin cost that raider bought back earlier all i sold loh...!!
It is ok and raider is comfortable that Rm 12.00, is good enough for raider to make monies on hengyuan loh...!!
Meanwhile raider should say probability is the best sifu, we should rely consistently loh....!!

although i did go previously once to meditate in tibet, but raider has never never being a trader loh....!!
Raider is really reallty....a fundamental investor....following principle of warren buffet, ben graham and peter lynch loh...!!
Yes during this time....traders has a good day in hengyuan bcos of the share price volatility....but in long run fundamental investor always wins loh....!!
It is better to invest compare to just trade, especially when hengyuan has great fundamental earnings potential and low pe loh...!!

i notice u attack kyy this time...but i notice this time...kyy recommend to buy much earlier....at a lower price....which actually benefit...his followers loh....!!
Of course....it is not easy to follow kyy....u need to have very good analytical mind...to see whether he is telling the truth or just fake loh....!!
The passing of anti fake law....makes kyy more careful loh....!!
