Ucrest Bhd has entered into a partnership with Mediprima Healthcare (M) Sdn Bhd to digitalise clinics and integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) into the latter firm's medical services. In a statement, UCrest said Mediprima, which operates the Poliklinik Mediprima primary care clinic chain in Malaysia, will deploy iMedic in all 18 of its clinics to offer telemedicine, preventive care programmes, chronic disease management, and robust digital health screening programmes. Awanbiru Technology Bhd (Awantec or formerly known as Prestariang Bhd) has won its legal suit against the government over the termination of the RM3.5 billion National Immigration Control System (SKIN) project. According to Awantec’s filing with Bursa, the High Court ruled in favour of Awantec's wholly-owned unit, Prestaring Skin Sdn Bhd (PSKIN) and ordered the government to pay a judgment sum of RM231.55 million, plus legal costs incurred by PSKIN during the litigation process. The court has directed a payment of RM80,000, with the amount subject to allocatur fees. (ThEdge)

Bridge Data Centres International Pte Ltd (BDC) has reinforced its collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) through the signing of the Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) for its forthcoming data centre venture in Malaysia. The ESA, which was executed on March 7, 2024, signifies TNB's commitment to furnish additional power resources to facilitate BDC's expansion plans for its data centre presence in Johor. (NST)

Oil-and-gas services firm Icon Offshore said on Thursday it has secured a contract to provide an accommodation workboat to Petrolanpan Sdn Bhd for an undisclosed amount. The contract will span 45 days, with the option to extend for an additional 15 days, Icon Offshore stated in a statement. The accommodation workboat, Icon Kayra, has been selected by Petrolanpan for hook-up and commissioning work activities. (TheEdge)

UMediC Group Bhd's net profit for the second quarter ended Jan 31, 2024 (2QFY2024) fell 14.8% to RM2.48 million, from RM2.91 million a year earlier mainly due to expenses that are not tax-deductible such as professional fees. In a bourse filing on Monday, the ACE Market-listed medical device distributor and manufacturer said revenue for the quarter rose to RM13.48 million, from RM12.52 million previously. (TheEdge)

Shares of Eversendai Corp Bhd extended its rally and surged to its highest in five years as investors continued to accumulate the stock following contract wins totalling RM5.4 billion. Eversendai climbed as much as 16.7% or 6.5 sen to 45.5 sen during the morning session, its highest since January 2019. The counter was trading at 41 sen as of 9.35am, still up two sen or 5.13% after over 87 million shares changed hands on Bursa Malaysia. (TheEdge)

Sapura Energy Bhd yesterday said it has been given three more months by the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (CDRC) to come up with a resolution for its debt issues. The CDRC has extended Sapura Energy's standstill period until June 10 . (NST)

AirAsia X Bhd has marked its foray into Central Asia by becoming the first airline in Southeast Asia to fly direct to Almaty, Kazakhstan from Kuala Lumpur. The airline's chief executive officer Benyamin Ismail said the strategic move proves AirAsia X's commitment to expand its global network and reconnect travellers to various destinations. (NST)
