對這種浪費人才的現象和政策，民眾無能為力，只希望優秀生不需要太執著於進入國立大學，不需要放棄原本的志願去屈就被胡亂分配的課程，反而可考慮私立大學或海外深造。
優秀生無須擔心高昂的深造費用，因為在本地大學以外，他／她們同樣比其他成績平平的學生享更多選擇和自由選科的機會，傲人成績單在手，定有許多私立或半私立大學願意提供全額或半額獎學金，讓他／她們順利完成學業。
再說，大馬華裔優秀生還可嘗試申請教育品質及名望更佳的新加坡高教學府，如今連台灣教育部長也開口拉攏人才到台深造，甚至設法增加台灣獎學金名額吸引大馬學生留學，優秀生沒必要“執著”於國立大學，死守這片土地，限制自我飛翔的機會。
須知，局勢更迭速度加劇，資訊科技一日千里，如今就業市場需要的是具競爭力的多元化國際人才，而不只是學業成績頂呱呱的人，優秀生何不通過海外深造學習獨立，培養更具國際觀的就業實力，開拓眼界及社交網絡，為自己鋪排更廣出路。（星洲日報／財經小品：郭曉芳）

Actually, why must these students insist on going to local government U. If you can do so well academically, why don't open your horizon, and give yourself an opportunity to go oversea and compete in top universities of the world. Financially, there also opportunities to get bursury or scholarship.
