JackMa is the Richest Man in China by Virtue of ECommerce through Alibaba. JackMa is also the 16th Richest man on earth.
The pioneer who made ECommerce Bill Gates who founded Microsoft is the No. 1 World's Richest Man - beating even Warren Buffet into 2nd place.
SO THERE IS A VERY BRIGHT FUTURE IN ECOMMERCE.
AND POS MALAYSIA WILL BE GOING INTO JV WITH JACKMA OF ALIBABA.
As of now Alibaba is the Top 2nd Share Holders of Singpost (Singapore POS)
Will JackMa be taking a stake in POS Malaysia (yet to be seen) ?
In any case the Leader from Malaysia's Pm Najib - Year 2017 will be the Year of INTERNATIONAL ECOMMERCE
AND IN THE HEART OF IT ALL IS POS MALAYSIA.
AND IN THE HAND OF DRBHICOM - POS MALAYSIA (Already 53% owned by DRBHICOM) Might Be Taken Private by DRB HICOM.
Looking further ahead, Khazanah might even take both POS & DRB private.

POS Malaysia has immense potential still undiscovered:
1) POS has a 200 year history in Malaysia. As such it is an Established Institution that has a Moat. No other Competitor in sight for another 100 years.
2) POS also has many, many prime Landbanks in Malaysia. These are still listed at Old Book Value. If revalued (like Daya Bumi in KL City) it should be far more than current Book Value of only Rm60 millions
3) If POS management is smart enough It Should Merge with DRB's BANK MAUMALAT (DRB own 70% of BANK MAUMALAT While Khazanah own the other 30%). See the long quueue at POS Offices everywhere on any given day? Banking Services if Provided by POS Malaysia (Singpost in Spore already doing all these) like Savings A/C, Current A/C, Giving out Credit cards, Personal loan, House loan, Car loan, ATM services & trade financing. POS, by virtue of its par excellence location very accessible to all people everywhere will easily rise up to be a Tier 1 Bank like Public Bank, Maybank or Hong Leong Bank.
4) But the MOST IMPORTANT PHASE OF GROWTH TRANSFORMATION IS TO TURN POS MALAYSIA INTO A VIABLE ECOMMERCE HUB LIKE AMAZON OF USA & ALIBABA OF CHINA.

1) POS can be a Supermarket even a Hypermarket - delivery all kinds of fresh food & dry goods to all homes.
2) POS can be A Car Distributor for not only Proton, Perodua but All Other Brands if Govt will pass it as mandatory ECommerce Laws
3) POS can be a place to book and collect you Air tickets, Train Tickets & even Your Packages to Foreign Countries
4) You can also pick up your passports (Visa?) through the POS Office. Already done in Spore. In Singapore I can collect my passport through Singpost
5) You can buy a house through Post Office. Pay housing loan, car loan through Post office.
6) Register your marriage through Post Office
7) Above all. All Trades with Foreign Entities can also be done by EPost or ECommerce through the POS Office.

i honestly do not think TS syed will let DRB be taken private nor he wants to take POS private. drb is his bread n butter. he is already so rich n powerful. This taking private information is just too much in a dreaming state.
calvin is again misleading ON the private stories. he does not understand how business is being in malaysia. so pls check your facts right first.
on the other hand , plenty of new businesses on drb n pos is very possible tho. this has the potential to generate plenty of profits.

3 factors to impact drb financial result.
1. Gov Capital injection RM 1.5 billion, increase equity, reduce Drb gearing
2. Swap klsa with Pos stake for RM 890m, enabling Drb to consolidate Pos profit and its cash hoard, reduce Drb gearing
3. Disposal crowin mall for net gain 18 sen/ share, reduce drb gearing
