2. For small hydropower projects and other traditional energy projects:

For power plant projects with total installed capacity of at least 30MW, the power plants with installed capacity of less than 30MW voluntarily take part in the market, except for multitarget strategic hydropower plants, independent power plants invested in Build – Operate – Transfer (BOT) form and power plants using new renewable energy (wind, geothermal, tide and biomass), other power plants (when no private mechanism stipulated by Ministry of Industry and Trade, follow the regulations in Circular No. 56): Follow the regulations in Circular No. 56.

Haha, I asked DK about the max IRR for JHDP and DK told me that I was right to say that the IRR cannot be more than 12%. Hence, capacity payments must be declining over the concession period. I was right, so how ?

I told DK some very good reasons why he should close the group. So you should quickly write to DK with very good reasons why he shouldn't before he make his decision.

He has done so much for his group for so long, now it is time for him to do what is best for himself.

Still remember the above statement from you ?? DK did not say that his peer comparison article is unreliable. Even Sslee said DK was right on his profit estimation. No other people get such a close estimation. Profit is different from cash flow. Even with shorter loan tenure, the annual profit will not be affected. It only affects cash flow. You think DK appreciates this ?

Now DK's group is manipulated and controlled by a few to serve their own interests. Should this be allowed to continue, DK ?

I shared an email reply from DK to the group on the foreseeable liquidity problems but some members want me not to share to the public forum because they are not ready to cut loss.

Many members have left the group since DK retired from the group. Now that DK has sold Jaks completely because he predicted liquidity problems but members in the group are still told to hold and do nothing and continued to suffer more losses. My opposing view is not welcomed by a very small group of active members and was labelled as spreading fear. I was forced to apologize and I refused. So, i was removed.

These are more reasons why DK should have closed the group much earlier.

I was removed from DK private group by Aseng as DK has retired long ago. Because I agreed with Gotyou article that the capacity charge is declining using max 12% IRR in PPA negotiation as arguments. Jaks IR confirmed that the capacity charge is actually declining but said that based on INTERNAL projections, the equity IRR is still above 12%. The regulations does not allow OFFICIAL project IRR to be more than 12% during PPA negotiation. That does not mean that Jaks cannot achieve project IRR above 12% due to cost savings or higher production of electricity. I have done nothing wrong. DK allows all opinions as long as they are supported by credible arguments whether right or wrong. Is my removal fair to those silent members who can only hear one sided opinion now? I demand an apology and immediate reinstatement of my membership so that I can continue to share freely. Otherwise, I will report to DK on this unfair treatment and cyber bully. Seriously, I will recommend DK to shut down the group to protect the less informed members from one sided brainwash.

But longer term loan increases the risks for the bankers. That is probably why the JHDP loan itself only 10 years tenure.

soon9913, majority of the power plant profit is contributed by the capacity charge payments. Therefore higher or lower electricity production from the power plant will have marginal impact on the bottom line.

The 10 years loan tenure was first noticed by DK and later confirmed by the management.

sslee, management has confirmed 10 yrs tenure for its jhdp loan.

Fact findings are important regardless of price level. DK discovered that the loan tenure for JHDP is 10 years instead of the maximum 18 years approved by the Vietnam government. Jaks management was pressed to clarify the tenure of jhdp loan during the AGM. DK's discovery allows more accurate prediction of jaks future cash flows by to the investors.

Speak for yourself. You don't represent the majority of the members. DK is still well respected. Most, if not all, members still welcome DK's writeup whether positive or not. If you don't want to hear from DK, why don't you leave like Sarifah?
