The author's equity selection strategies are:
1. Sound Management
2. Revenue & Profits growing in recent years
3. Low PE ratio & PE is going down over years
4. Dividend records

Stressing that his strategies would give me a strong 'Margin of Safety & 'Can Sleep Peacefully At Night'.

But the author had not following his own rules of selection. i.e. rule No. 4. However, I opine that the hierarchical order of importance should be the reverse. How could a shareholder sleep well if his return on invested capital is zero since the year 2013. I couldn't imagine if Tabung Haji account holders do not receive their yearly dividend.

And for a listed business entity existed in the local bourse for about 30 year, 'Sound Management' should be an unwritten duty and obligation. You do not have to tell your managers to be punctual.

To save costs is sensible but Bursa and stock-broker houses fail to realize that by providing less information to the already inefficient local bourses, they might inadvertently engender phoney-baloney market moves, not only during market day of volatility, but also for those 'Permitted Short-Selling Stocks'.

KESM share prices had drifted southwards for about 8 days (a near price pattern of 8 black crows). Although doji candle stick pattern was not spotted, but the candle stick price pattern for today is 'quite near' the typical morning star, which is normally taken as a 'reversal' signal albeit a weak one.

However, to rely on just 1 day's price actions (1 candle stick) would be too risky.

Too early to say that it is a reversal.

A good trader relies on 3 primary reversal signals. These are:

1. Reversal day. A basic rule about reversal is that you have to have a short-term trend to reverse. But today, we hadn't seen higher lows followed by higher highs. At best, we could just say the KESM price actions today is about near its bottom(s).

2. Narrow-range day. Candlestick pattern of a doji, was not being spotted

3. Volume spike. No volume spike (surge in volume) was imminent.

Only if you could find 2 (out of 3) signals, then the likelihood of reversal is quite probable.

No. No. No. Our equity market is imperfect and inefficient because the discount mechanism is not well-functioning. Otherwise, there won't be such a thing as insider information. And there won't be UMA.

Pay little attention to historical data or past and stale information.

I have no idea as to how far or how high could PetronMsia go or jump.

But I had witnessed how IFCAMSC shone and faded, from a morning star to a setting sun, just like Dsonic, Sam EE and many others.

But, perhaps there are symptoms to their ends. One of which is - when Heng Ar, Ong Ar and Huat Ar jump in the bandwagon in an euphoric mood and bee-line the i3investor Forum of the stocks concerned to pass comments, the bullish run would end sooner than anyone would expect.

In any round of Fresh and New Bull Run, a different common stock(s) or concepts-of-play would set in. I wish I and my friends here could detect the star performers earlier, just like how the early birds would act and react.

Anyhow, do not take my words seriously. They are not gospel.
