For the 1st time in ages, I've decided not to log in to my account to watch the afternoon session. With the 901st consecutive trading day in the positive thanks to Nepon in Tokyo ( Bought ¥1,752, SOLD ¥1,914 within 3 mths) in the bag, I will spare myself the energy drain from a zombified, time-wasting mkt & focus my energies on the more rewarding US & Japanese markets...while preparing to dump Tenaga on the 27th!

Sooooo relieved to be OUT of this stock which I originally bought 8 lots of in 2022 for the dividends...all SOLD above $4 last year!🤗

Not all P&D are condemned forever....Witness my GPharos: a clear cut P&D stock until recently, when results & financials unpredictably improved, percolated into fantastic div yield & bettered JTiasa in the last year. Used to hold 330 lots of this when it resumed its divvy in '19 but then SOLD all of it when it was pumped/dumped in '21. Fortunately, I re-entered 40 lots last yr when the divvy continued & still left with a last stand of 20 lots now.

Good points made by many on the downfalls of ego, focusing on the fundamentals, taking a long-term approach etc. B4 covid, one old man with few teeth left in his mouth(looked to be early-to-mid '70s) used to approach me to talk about his 20,000 DLady shares at every opportunity & go on & on about how he's earning ton$ just from dividends back then( when I as all holders then received $1.10 per share regularly twice a year(& 3x in 2017). I wonder now if that was 3iii himself...Well, going as I do to the supermarket often, I began to notice in 2018 that they were discounting their milk frequently at the same time as competitors like Goodday began to step up aggressive marketing & Nestle entered the milk mkt for the first time.

When I regularly picked Goodday for my milk due to its superior taste, I kinda saw the writing on the wall for DLady & SOLD my small position bought @ $48.66 in 2013 for $64.32 in Oct '18 after receiving more than $15.00 in dividends since purchase.

Another fellow shareholder whom I met attending AGMs revealed she had 11,000 DLady bought in '93 & '04 & had to proxy me to attend their shareholder meeting in '19 as I had ZERO shares by then. Oddly, the price remained high @ $62-65 through most of '19 until memorably beginning its long downfall in Sep shortly after EPF bought another 225,000 shares @ above $65. I had advised the lady who proxied me to sell at least a few of her shares just in case my on the ground observations portended a big fall ahead but she clung on to every single share with justifications such as : 'I get over $20,000 per year from dividends' & 'if Nestle can go to $140, DLady can go to $100' etc....& kept hanging on...until finally demoralized by the drop from $60 to $50 to $40, $30 & then $20, she FINALLY sold in high-to-mid $20s. All her shares were free by then anyway so it wasn't a question of loss but how much MORE she could have made with better discernment. Never fall in love with a stock is a good maxim to follow whoever said it!

All along I assumed this price was the lowest ever for JAKS but I double-checked & discovered the real ALL-TIME LOW is closer to 12c..in Oct '08. So we all know where the next tgt is...unless bankruptcy intervenes in the interim!😆

Myself & calvin seem to share something in common(mind the pun), which is our attraction to deep value plays. On hindsight, I was careless in entering Jtiasa in '14 because it was not a deep value play(unlike '09 when it dropped to 50c) but back then, it was so easy earn hundreds to thousands per day just buying the next stock that hadn't move yet, I was prone to complacency, just like the money-printing Sino Hua-an in late 2017 caused me to become lax & buy General Electric with little deep research in my attempt to diversify into US stocks. Fortunately, GE, like JTiasa, eventually came up roses & it's now one of the hottest stocks on the NYSE & poised to earn over 20% ROI when I plan to sell on Tues. Wishing all holders the best here, but I'm DONE with JTiasa as it's no longer as deep value as it was a year ago... 頑張って 🎌(Ganbatte) to all! My eyes are trained mostly towards Tokyo these days as I have fifteen paper gainers led by another major comeback story which soared past its 11-year high: Nomura!🗾💹

Missive from Japan: YTL drops -26% to ¥92 on one of its top 10 volumes in history since it debuted there in 1996, while the Nikkei soars to a fresh all-time high ¥40,823.32 intra-day & my Nomura shares magically exceed their 2013 bubbly high of ¥980, now +66% despite being in significant paper losses for most of the time since I bought it too high in 2018. HongKies got cash flow problems in HK...their property mkt & economy tied to China's & crashing badly...their selling off all 67 mil remaining shrs in the coming days cannot be ruled out!

Convert 135 yen = RM4.27

Something must be brewing... because Japanese are generally very particular about money won't simply spend money to invest unless really strong growth story.


The above is a sweeping statement. Japs are also prone to crazy, extreme behaviour & their market is famous for 'ramping' which is partly why I allocate such a large portion there: they can corner a stock with small free float & push it up by 10-30X within a year! I believe this is what is happening to YTL which only has a limited float in Tokyo. Otherwise, ppl would transfer their shares there to sell & arbitrage but I'm not sure if it can even be done!

I'm the very first one to notice the disparity between Tokyo price & the local price because I have a sizeable Japanese portfolio & have to monitor my 13 paper gainers there...the disparity just WIDENED this morning to 30%! As I suspected, the small % of YTL shares trading in Tokyo is being cornered, with the peak price being the equivalent of $4.65!

When major holders with recently over 70 mil(now down to 68.6 mil) throw millions of shares per day, better to escape with capital like me & stay on the sidelines first! They are rich, don't need your donation...let degil monkeys like Ytl2023 donate! 👍

Weird but I think YTL is being CORNERED in Japan...went limit UP @ 112 yen this morning briefly....the equivalent of $3.50!

New generation is already taking over. Doubt they are even half as competent as the Lee Loy Seng or the '50s-'70s generation.

One of the very very small handful of stocks to have successfully KOREK million$ from the old two-faced reptile ConYY...besides Xinquan & JAKS... respect! SOLD 500 JTiasa @ $1.51 & $1.52. Partial RELEASE of some capital trapped since 2014. Shifting the funds to another fellow Sarawakian timber/plantation co. Important that I didn't lose to that OLD KONYY!

If I didn't sell down 76% of my accumulated stake above $2 recently, my paper profit would have vanished by now....fortunately I crystallized 428.28 of net profit on those 4 partial sales!

Of course, the last 5 dividends totalling $4,537.75 (probably closer to $6k if those b4 2021 are included) doesn't hurt BUT I strictly consider selling ONLY if there's a capital gain...dividends are over & above.

It took a while, but my prediction on the Gold price was spot on! 🤗

Bought 3,200 of this for last yr's dividend @ 30.94c average, not expecting it rise for at least 2 years...pleasantly surprised to see it pop & happily SOLD 44% of my position for 40c!🤗

Old KonYY had evil intentions when he promote Jtiasa in 2014 above 2.50 & Subur in 2022 above 2.00 [MO as usual of buying quietly much lower & selling to greater fools by promoting; luckily KARMA got him back when he lost $3 mil in Sendai in 2018 & $64 mil in JAKS in the same year👍]. Too bad(for him) that I thwarted his ill will by holding resolutely & patiently, averaging @ 60+c & now seeing a capital gain after many dividends patiently received!

Well, I'm down to my last 1,000 shares of YTL...with 7 partial sales in '24 ranging from 2.20 to 2.54. March is my 'Month of the Phoenix' which was what YTL was for me in '23, rising from way below my cost of 79c to way above...this month, there are 3 Phoenixes for me:
1. Tobishima, bought in '18 & averaged down in '23 for ¥1,599 & which shot up 6.3% to ¥1,650 Friday.
2. General Electric, bought in '17 for $158.23 equivalent, paying out 18% of my capital in the form of GE Healthcare & WABTech spin-offs & which soared as high as $175.81 and
3. Jaya Tiasa, bought in '14 & averaged down to $1.42 in '23, soaring this week up to $1.46 after paying many dividends in the interim!

Isn't it AGAINST THE LAW to be force-SOLD by banks & not to declare a single change in interest since the big selldown??? By right, the crooked doctor should have been sold down to less than 30% going by the price action & volume...

ON HINDSIGHT, Jan 2016 was a terrible time to go long on JTiasa, but it seemed a good buy at the time to certain ppl maybe because after going slightly red in 2Q '15, the co. had 3 consecutive +ve qtrs & another one to be announced in May '16. In my 30 years in the mkt, > 40% of my picks went DOWN before eventually going up. Short-term punting is only for fools who think that cutting loss frequently doesn't cost money, who have the arrogance to think they can EVER predict short-term movements & for snake oil sellers to sell their half-baked trading systems to others who probably never really put their OWN capital at risk because it's easier to teach than to DO.

Almost DOUBLING my capital in a matter of weeks! Incredible, ain't it???📈💰❎2️😍⃣
