this quarter result should be not bad. The land disposal completed in April 2018 will contribute closed to RM97 mil net gain. The following is from the 17 August 2017 announcement :


"JAKS Group expects to realise a one-off net gain arising from the Proposed Disposal of approximately RM97.10 million"

If booked in, that should be sufficient to offset Star Media's RM50 mil bank guarantee (assuming that translates into accounting loss of RM50 mil)

The biggest weakness of Baby Jon is his conservativeness. Always pick stocks like retirees. (Read too many warren Buffett books).

if you are 26 yo be more adventurous lah. It is time to take risk and grow. Acting like warren buffett makes you feel good but doesn't put money in your pocket

I am holding around one third of what I ultimately want to buy. A bit wary about KYY's recent selling (just in case he knows something we don't know). And also, one and a half year is a bit long , there might be black swan events

In other words, I am waiting for certain positive signals to convince me to increase position. This has always been my style
