Category A -The Main Competition (56 participants)
- a very interesting contest with a total of 87 contestants in the two categories
- thanks to KW Tan for taking the effort to organize and OTB for sponsoring the prizes
- bs1688 is at the top of the rankings at the end of the first month with 25.1% gains
- bb55 is a close second, just less than 2 percentage points away
- not surprisingly, OTB is third at the moment

rchi - having not been active of late, Just nibbling here and there. Make some small gains on Frontken, FBMKLCI-HG and Armada W. Agree that SYF is a laggard.

duit - that's really a great analysis on N2N, supported by pertinent facts. But like rchi say, try it make it short and precise. The company has been aggressively buying back its shares of late. If I may recall they have a MOU with a Japanese company in a joint deal.

rchi - how are you doing. Hope you had a good start this year.

tsy88 / Dunknow - my apologies for rarely coming in of late as at present there is not much for me to share with you. Although all these years I have been using my methodology (which has served and is still serving me well) in trading I am now (having a bot more time) putting in some effort to revisit, redefine and realign some of the criteria in picking stocks. It's more of a challenge than to make big money. After all I am just a small and conservative player. Good night !

Frank - on Mudajatuh. Agree it has not been doing well of late due to its uncertain business in India, probably. But understand some foreign investors had bought some stakes in it recently. I am looking forward to a longer term. Just my opinion. And do give a whisper when you are here. Cheers !

Tsy88 - thanks for the input but again I have my own method of stock picking. Both am a also Ideal has the momentum whilst IFCA YGL and Smrt started losing in the 2nd session thus causing the dip in prices.

Thanks to matrix I entered Ideal at 60 sen yesterday and partially sold some at 64 sen. Watching Melewar and Evergreen.

tsy88 - as you know I do not follow bones . In fact I noticed KFM last Monday and went in at 48.5 and when it dropped I also bought some at 46.5 and sold off when it rebounded for some gains. Friday's activity looked positive though. However this counter has poor fundamentals. No point chasing if it gaps up. There are so many other counters to look at.

Dunknow - it only started moving yesterday / today. So you have to decide whether you want to lock in some profits or let it run. But once the activity dies down it will go back into hibernation. Just my view.

Dunknow - you can read up Alpha Trader's detailed write-up on Samudra. I have been collecting it for sometime, even until yesterday.

Hi Duit, like YCB I normally do not advise others about my buy and sell calls in order not to invite unnecessary and unwanted comments. After all my basis is not proven. At the end of the way it all depends the individual to make the final decision and not subject to external influences. No one can predict the direction of the market.

Hi Duit, most of the time I am not in front of the PC during trading hours and thus may not have the time to "shout" but will do if available. Having said that at times I sell very early. At the end of the day, it depends on the individual's level of comfort and satisfaction with the gains. Like TCB always advocates, it's always better to lock in gains and do not turn profits into losses. profits are profits irrespective of the amount.

Hi wise and humble Duit. How are you doing ? If you were to read my postings you will know that I neither use TA or FA. I have my own method of stock picking ( rather difficult to explain though) but then again it incorporates certain criteria of both. Since this met has served me well all these years I might as well stick to it. Honestly I do not know when to offload it but as long as I feel comfortable and contented with the gains I just sell. I started trading in this counter when it was around 20 sen plus and it has brought me more than 10 rounds of gains. My apologies for not giving you a specific answer.
