In my opinion , the HSR project will likely continue, awaiting the final review and expected budget adjustment and allocation for the subcontract portion.
Looking at the economic benefits of this railway together with a good relationship with Singapore will win the approval from all parties.

Better to cash out while you still can. In fact, before GE14, is the best time to do so.
When crude oil is below USD50 per barrel, then buy in again.
So many other counters to invest.

Back then, the market capitalisation is ard RM150m mil, the first day the company got listed and the company started out for roadtax and FWR renewal.

Yup, you're right.
Government need not be threaten by biz owners. In fact, when government demands a large discount, normally biz owners have to yield.
At the end of the day, without renewing the license to run the company (Eg: Contractors license), there's nothing for these biz owners.
Previous Case study:
1. Sunrise Berhad
2. SP Setia

This company may experience and lower profit and expect some losses in the next quarter due to refining raw material price(crude oil) is higher but the end selling price(customer) is capped by government.
Stock price is expected to consolidate below rm5 in the near term.

Toll biz in Malaysia is a sunset industry with PH as government.
Even if BN will be back next 5 years, they have the similar idea to abolish toll.
So logically thinking, all toll related counters will have short term cheer when they get compensated, else it's doom & gloom.

@ Halite
The government is trying to abolish toll.
Meaning no toll in the future.
What is the logic of listing DUKE when there's not going to be a TOLL?
-Are you confused?
As for compensation, you're right, toll owners get paid for the concession signed.

The Malaysia PAKA power plant was dormant for some years after the contract ended. Now just restarted.
Most earnings are from UK, WESSEX water. But due to the BREXIT, the British Pound depreciated 18% over the last 2 years.
Both of these cause revenue and earnings to drag.
