Its always a sign of distress whenever companies have excessive reliance on short term financing. Very risky. Healthier companies just use LC/TR for imports and pays the bills on due date.
From the bankers point of view, banks love to do BA business. In BA business, the banks no need to worry about funding. On day 1, the bank give money to the client and immediately sell the BA into the money market getting back its money. On day 90, the client pays the bank and the bank redeems the BA...the bank acts as a middle man and makes money from the spread

Other than that, it is always refreshing to read about strategy and strategic issues. Brokers reports don't usually cover much strategic issues.

All in all, good effort.
But a company over relying on short term financing is not a safe investment.....too many things can go wrong.

Healthier companies just use LC/TR for imports and pays the bills on due date. @ BA is a form of refinancing/ rollover of the TR when due. Its a short term financing with clearly defined due dates.
Its clearly more relaxing and less stressful to operate on OD and LCs.
