UAE’s health ministry officially registers Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), has officially registered Beijing Institute of Biological Product’s inactivated COVID-19 vaccine as part of its efforts to combat the global pandemic.

The vaccine was registered upon request of Sinopharm CNBG.

UAE says Sinopharm vaccine has 86% efficacy against COVID-19

DUBAI (Reuters) - An experimental coronavirus vaccine developed by China’s Sinopharm has 86% efficacy against the virus, the United Arab Emirates health ministry said on Wednesday, citing an interim analysis of a human trial underway there.

The Gulf Arab state in July started Phase 3 clinical trials of the vaccine, developed by Beijing Institute of Biological Product, a unit of Sinopharm’s China National Biotec Group (CNBG). In September, the UAE approved its emergency use for certain groups.

The analysis also shows “99% seroconversion rate of neutralizing antibody and 100% effectiveness in preventing moderate and severe cases of the disease”, the ministry said in a statement carried by the state news agency.

“The analysis shows no serious safety concerns,” it said.

It also said it had officially registered the vaccine, without elaborating, and that 31,000 volunteers across 125 nationalities participated in the UAE trial.

Here is my simple analysis:-
According to Fibonacci method, the resistance level at :-
R1 0.140
R2 0.1.30
R3 0.125

For support level at :-

S1 0.11
S2 0.105
S3 0.100

Base on the volume yesterday was 289.21Mil. Now as at 3.41pm the volume only hit 31.37mil.

Therefore i can say this counter is not on the up trend but in sleeping mode. If can break R3 0.135 then should should be flying.

This is my personal view.

Actually I have read the edge on the vaccine issue raise by khairy ," KJ said government only buy vaccine produce by Pfizer without getting thru any distributor and the minister DID NOT stop any of the local company to make a commercial agreement with other vaccine manufacturer outside malaysia. But they must get neccessary approval from malaysia regulator. " Government Malaysia only ordered 20% of total population to be vaccinated.
Currently pfizer said their slash their production from 100mil doses to 50mil doses this year due to raw material supply chain problem. I expect we might need to wait very very long time perhaps next year September only can get pfizer. But how about 80% more Malaysia population , just let them suffer?

By the way ,Malaysia sure still need to import more other vaccine thru local distributor like Metronic with condition that the vaccine are safe and approved by international reliable regulators like US-FDA or European Medicine Agency (EMA). Now , Metronic are signing collaboration with Medigen Vaccine Biologics Corp (MVC). This company vaccine are joint develop by MVC and US National Institutes of Health (NIH) , so definitely MVC vaccine will apply to get approval from US-FDA since this vaccine are joint develop with US National Institute of Health (NIH). YOU THINK US-FDA APPROVED VACCINE MALAYSIA WILL REJECT IT??

Conclusion MVC vaccine are potential to be distributed in Malaysia next year compare to those China unregulated vaccine bring by KANGER AND SOLUTION. Hence , you all need to use your brain to think , whichever vaccine come from US or Europe , Malaysia sure will accept and use broadly But those from INDIA ,Russia or CHINA vaccine definitely no chances will approved by Malaysia Regulator if we have the choice to get US or Europe approval vaccine.

United Arab Emirates Claims China’s Sinopharm Vaccine Is 100% Effective At Preventing Moderate And Severe Covid-19

TOPLINE The experimental vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group, also known as Sinopharm, is 86% effective at preventing Covid-19 infection and 100% effective at preventing severe and moderate disease, health officials from the United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday, although with scarce detail provided about the trial.

The UAE health ministry cited an interim analysis of a late-stage clinical trial involving 31,000 volunteers as the source of its information, though neither they nor Sinopharm provided any data from the trial to validate the claims such as how many participants were infected or how many actually received the vaccine.

The ministry said “no serious safety concerns” were observed, though, again, no information on side effects was provided.

The ministry said the announcement is a “significant vote of confidence by the UAE’s health authorities in the safety and efficacy of this vaccine.”

The ministry added that it had officially registered the vaccine at the request of the manufacturer, which it says could eventually lead to the shot’s widespread authorization.

After all , Malaysia government only purchase 20% of malaysia population vaccine with pfizer, MANA CUKUP. So , rakyat still need to buy vaccine from private hospital or private clinic.

Don't depend on the government for vaccine issue. We have stay in Malaysia so many years already and know the culture/budaya of government. The best example is government hospital , how bad is the service , do you think you can get free vaccine from GH? Definitely you want safe life need to spend own money to vaccinate in private clinic or private hospital. It much depend on distributors to import variety brand of vaccine to achieve 100% population vaccinated.
