Good company is never cheap. I see this downtrend as a chance to collect. When apple shares drop to around USD$150 earlier this year due to bad quarter people make noise stating apple is over etc etc now the price is at USD$250. See the long term prospect not just based on few quarter results

The heck got people compare Apple with Vitrox?! For ur info Vitrox is the best ATE company in SEA if not Asia. You can compare Vitrox with ASML or Teradyne but that would not be so fair because those ang moh companies already existed very long time ago but Malaysia can produce companies like Inari and Vitrox is already mind boggling.

ViTrox Corp Bhd’s nine-month financial year 2019 (9MFY19) core net profit of RM62 million (-17% year-on-year [y-o-y]) missed our and consensus estimates. The moderation was mainly due the softness in machine vision solution (MVS) product line despite the favourable foreign exchange (forex). According to SEMI, the global semiconductor equipment market is projected to drop 18% to US$52.7 billion in 2019, reflecting rising market uncertainty due in part to geopolitical tensions. We downgrade to “sell” with a lower TP of RM6.17 after cutting projections. Our TP is derived based on higher price-earnings ratio (P/E) multiple of 24 times FY20 earnings per share (EPS), in line with peers.

ViTrox Corp Bhd saw its net profit halved to RM13.86 million or 2.94 sen per share in its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2019 (3QFY19), from RM28.02 million or 5.96 sen per share in the year-ago quarter, due mainly to sales volume decline.

The group also attributed the lower profitability to its product mix during the quarter, besides its continuous investment in research and development (R&D) activities, according to its exchange filing today.

Quarterly revenue contracted 34.6% to RM66.51 million, from RM101.77 million in the year-ago quarter, on lower customer demand for its automated board inspection (ABI) and machine vision system (MVS), its filing showed.

This brings ViTrox's nine-month (9MFY19) net profit to RM61.86 million, down 18.6% against RM76.04 million in the corresponding period last year.

I Still remember there was a guy recommended vitrox when it was below rm1 many many yrs ago, he told us it will be a gem in future, he even went to visit the factory.
After that, Vtrox had carried out bonus issue for 2 times, and the share price now is $8.50...
imagine u r holding it since 2010....

I think VITROX is overvalued dy. one earning below expectation big drop. You all should have a look at SAM 9822 PE 3 times lower than vitrox, EPS 3 times higher than Vitrox.

Over value stock.. share price jump from RM5 to RM8 just because 2 funds said its should value at RM8. Puiiiii...!!! Lousy company results.. looks like funds also can get trap here due to market had profit taking at RM5 and now their are trap here very very long times here. kakakaaka... Only stupid will take over the RM8 ball from them...

The price ranges is at RM7 - 8. Becareful if the price drop to RM7++ the price is still very high. Won't be surprise the share price may go higher to attract buyers so that they can let go their shares on hand to others at this high price.
