Zazzyy! I'm not sure Bahvest how profitable Bahvest is because of a lack of data for new management! Assuming 1st Qtr as benchmark the Profit will be very high for 2nd QTR! we still need the 2nd Qtr Financial Report to confirm that!

at present price of 1kg of around 36700 ...x 85.. also around 3 million plus only la...if 300 mill yes la..3 million for a company is peanuts la...one cash flow issue..30 million also not enough..

@Eagle Japanese yen carry trade more scary. Japan have owned more US treasury bonds then any other foreign nation. Between 2000 to 2023, Japan grew from owning 534b to just over 1t. Many investors take advantage of Japan low interest to borrow and invest in US(5%). Japan already stop its negative interest rate not long ago. Japan yen rise across important resistance of 150. Inflation fly. If Japan further increase the rate, borrowing in Yen no longer favorable. US bonds and stock market will melt down. Money printing stop, music stop. Buy gold now to protect the kotex.

last year some anylyst said gold to be 2300 by 2024. Bank of America forecasted 2500 by 2025. Not many analyst point out that gold was included as the other Tier 1 asset in 2020 by Bank of International Settlement. Come 2020 US and the West sanctioned Russia and freeze its USD holdings and some other assets and banned it from using USD to trade and discontinued Russia access to SWIFT< which is a international settlement system worldwide but controlled by US. So called analyst did some quick reading and jumble up some very valid reasons for gold to go up.

Gold is going parabolic and moved into "price discovery" phase, meaning nobody can predict accurately the top for gold. It is a open question. Especially with the geopolitical tension created by the West worldwide.

The other elephant in the room is the continual printing of money by US. Increasing its debt by 1 trillion every 100 days a few nonths ago. Now I read it is 1t every 90 days. Scary at it is, it is also exporting inflation worldwide. Inflation is here to stay until US goes kaput. If not it will try to bring the world down. BRICS and other nations know too well what is going on. Connect the dots and see the big picture and things are better left unsaid because it is difficult to explain in a few words.

Gold races past US$2,400/oz as Middle East tensions spur safe-haven rush

(April 12): Gold prices rose above US$2,400 per ounce to an all-time high on Friday, heading for their fourth week of gains, as growing tensions in the Middle East prompted investors to seek refuge in the safe-haven assets.

Spot gold climbed 2.2% to US$2,424.32 per ounce as of 10.56am ET (1456 GMT) after hitting a record high of US$2,419.79. Prices were up 4% for the week.

US gold futures GCcv1 gained 2.9% to US$2,442.30.


Taking cues from gold's upward momentum, platinum rose above the key psychological level of US$1,000 per ounce to its highest level in nearly four months.

"The positive factors for gold outweigh the negative. The heightened tensions in Middle East is the main driver for gold's recent surge," said Chris Gaffney, president of world markets at EverBank.

A reportedly imminent attack by Iran on Israel is a real and viable threat, the White House said, giving no details about possible timing, and reiterating that the US takes its commitments to defend Israel seriously.

"Gold continues to go from strength to strength as we are witnessing fear of missing out on clear display," Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank, said in a note.

"Fear of missing an ongoing rally creates a strong buy-on-dip mentality, in the process reducing the risk of recently established longs being challenged."

Gold's recent surge arrived despite traders dialing back bets for an early interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve.

Thursday's US Producer Price Index (PPI) came in softer than expected, a day after March's hot Consumer Price Index (CPI).

"Gold has pushed back against some data that should have typically been negative. It will be somewhat healthy to see a correction in the bulls market, but the trend will continue to be positive," Gaffney added.

Spot silver rose 4% to US$29.60 per ounce, its highest level since early 2021. Platinum rose 2.2% to US$1,000.80 and palladium firmed 2.7% to US$1,075.00.

All three metals were poised for weekly gains.
