Base on past record CIMB will likely declare at least 10sen dividend next 2 months.

Last 3 days Bursa announcement show EPF bought 9.7million, 3.5million and 1.7million shares. Why are they buying?

Different funds manage epf accounts. Some funds will sell and some funds will buy according to their risk appetition.

One analyst put CIMB at TP 6.30. So my strategy is buy @ 5.00 and sell at 5.30 (short term)

Loan growth is slowing rapidly, interest rate will rise but likely small. You guy should look out for Indo operation eg forex rate and NPL but as I said before Indo still is wild west so colletral value could be overvalue and when default comes NPL will rise rapidly. Indo is facing major headlwind in comodities prices eg iron tin palm oil. They have been aggressively giving loans there this few years. Same with MBB but they are more prudent. I don't advise investing in Banks now but as they say you never know when it will fly!

Short selling are allowed for certain counters. S/S is for big boys. You need to borrow or buy
the shares first.

davidkkw79, no worry. We've been through so many stocks slumps and disasters already. The world goes on and companies goes on doing what they do best. There is no reason to sell unless you really have proofs that things are tanking, especially inside the company. I just went to CIMB, the service is still excellent and staffs still motivated. Good banking experience.

In 2014, foreign funds list Bursa as a Old man, when the rest asia stockmarkets goes up bursa hardly move. But when everydody falls, bursa is not dropping b'cos EPF & local funds goes
in and support the market. You see it today EPF supporting CIMB. So don't rock the boat
and caused foreign funds to leave Malaysia

You will Not see a tsunami if China is insecure with USD rather a gradual selling of US bond.
China had close to a trillion in USD Bond Notes. Why rock the boat?? Actually in 2014, China
had explicitly inform US that they are not comfortable with QE

Malaysia population 30millions ,let say 5 millions worker, if each one donate RM500 to EPF every month ...each month 2500million income .....GST coming soon....since Malaysian so HARDWORKING to work, if crisis coming like year 2008...i think our gov tak ada proplem one..
