PBB now affordable to the public. No more rm20+. Long run you will earn with pbb. Most shares hold by old timers and pass on to their next generation. That's why it doesn't fluctuate that much. AGM is normally on April if I'm not wrong. Had attended once and it was full of old people hahaha. Got a goodie bag/free gift.

Pbb free floating shares in the open market will become less and less because of long term investors accumulation. Once free floating shares falling, price will go up... Then some will release their tickets and take profit, then long term investors accumulate again. The cycle go on and on.... This cycle of accumulation and price slowly go higher and higher only happens to solid company like pbb. The buying demand is always waiting there. Pbb only will reward its true long term investors and not the short term traders when recovery process moving slowly. Just my opinion.

Spoke to a very experienced, knowledgeable, and savvy finance and investment professional who trades independently. Recently lost in almost all trades in most stocks, even in nxt door stocks.

So, I shared PBB, response is should have invested in PBB.
He said he may consider cutting loses to come into PBB.
I said your desire and demands may not work according to your plan as too many variables and factors are at play now in the equity market and, possibly, in the near to middle term.

He acknowledged that I may be correct and right about choosing PBB and not have to worry so much.

6) Banks are irreplaceble - there are no substitutes for bank
7) Banks are control by BNM, Barriers to entry, Not anyone can start a bank.

There you have it, PBB is in a strong footing and is a stronghold.

If anyone wants to compare with past years, the dividend this time is 65cents (pre-bonus issue) whereas it was 30+cents normally. Those who enter now is a bargain, since last year skipped one dividend payment

慕尤丁：3月中推全面性经济复苏计划 · 确保各领域发展

“不只是联邦政府，州政府也需要给予配合，因为人民的问题必须立即解决；对于人民而言，每等待一天都是煎熬。”

慕尤丁表示，仍有很多外资有兴趣来马进行投资。


“大马去年首9个月核准1098亿令吉总投资，总共涉及2935项投资，料创造6万4701个就业机会；不仅如此，我国在未来两年也会有许多投资激励措施，这些都将能吸引外资。”

“因此，我对于外资（吸引到）并不担心，我们有亲商的政策，商业领域会持续成长。”

I dun get why ppl buy ambank. Lower divided + PAT super low + suspended(wtf first time I see bank ask for suspension). Make investors unhappy. I shall promote PBB again. Buy PBB instead of Ambank. Higher divided with stability of share price and PAT.

Don't forget that PBB has lots of strong shareholders. Most keep for long run and don't bother if it drops. Only way is up with this attractive rm4 pricing. In few years rm5 is possible. Maybe tan Sri will push up till 5 as he hates the number 4.

My understanding, if wrong pls correct me. After ex date, pbb opening price will automatically deduct by 13 cents. This is fair because pbb already give out 13 cents per share from the company. This lower share price will become more attractive to new buyer and a lot of long term investors will collect back pbb share with the dividend. The share price will eventually move up again.

Why not buy now? Get the 13sen dividend immediately this month. Get another dividend payout in coming September. You do the mathematics.

Many will sell ammb once it is back to trading on Wednesday. They will support pbb (perceived cheap at RM4. 25) for the higher dividend % (than cimb).

AMMB has been slapped a RM2.83bn fine by MoF for its past involvement in the 1MDB scandal. NO DIVIDEND FOR FY21. I guess PBB will have new investors coming in tmrw :)

KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): The reopening of more economic sectors under the second phase of the movement control order (MCO 2.0) has succeeded in reducing the country's losses to RM300 million a day compared to RM2.4 billion a day during the MCO 1.0.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the MCO 2.0 allowed more economic sectors to operate than the previous one to balance between the health aspects of the people and the current economic pressures.

“During the first MCO, our country suffered a loss of RM2.4 billion a day and if it is implemented continuously, surely our country's economic system, including the public health system, will paralyse," he said in his opening remarks at the virtual 25th Revenue Day of the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) today.

He also said that the country has managed to limit the number of deaths due to Covid-19 to 0.3% ratio, or in the lowest 5.0% category globally.

He said the effectiveness of the government's measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic had also been recognised by the international credit rating agency, Moody's, which maintained Malaysia's A3 rating with stable projections in January this year.

"Moody's also expects the Covid-19 pandemic not to have a long-lasting effect on the country's economic structure.

"Therefore, the current and subsequent waves of contagion will only delay but not hinder the country's economic recovery towards a higher and sustainable growth path," he said.

Tengku Zafrul said the success of this rating was driven by a strong economic foundation, good fiscal discipline including the support of economic sector diversification.

However, he said, it depended heavily on the country's ability to curb the pandemic and also implement continuous recovery in external demand.

Although Malaysia experienced a contraction in gross domestic product (GDP) of 5.6% in 2020, Tengku Zafrul said this figure was better than the initial projections by international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund (-5.8%), the World Bank (-5.8%) and the Asian Development Bank (-6.0%).

He also said Malaysia's performance was better compared to regional peers such as Thailand (-6.1%) and the Philippines (-9.5%) and other countries such as the United Kingdom (-9.9%).
