Trade war is already a non-event. The severity of this crisis has somehow price into the price of global stocks earlier this year. Everybody knows Trump is going to impose tariffs on certain goods. Anyway only a loser impose tariffs because it's own industries are not competitive. If you produce things efficiently naturally the price of your end products are cheap compared to others. This is called "comparative advantage". Malaysia has a lot of comparative advantage such as young and educated work force, no natural calamity such as typhoon and earth quake, fertile land, abundant natural resources and so on.

So if given the right policies implementation by the government, Malaysia will again rise as the new economic powerhouse in Asia. We will still be able to produce cheaper than most Western countries wit our comparative advantage even though the US going to impose tariffs on our trading partners. For your information the top two largest trading partner of Malaysia is China and Singapore. So if Trump impose tariff on China say steel and aluminium isn't it better for Malaysian steel and aluminium producers due to the higher prices?

Heck, we have to use our brain to make investment decisions not our foot !!

PETALING JAYA (June 1): Malaysia Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the government will respect the terms of contracts inked by the previous administration in relation to mega projects in the country. He said Malaysia will stick to the rule of law as the nation reviews these contracts.

Speaking at a press conference here today, Dr Mahathir said the government will, however, take a different action if it discovers something wrong was done in a contract.

"We will go according to agreement or contract that has been given. We will stick by that. Only when something wrong was done in the contract, will we take [a different] action.

"Local or foreign [businesses], they will be treated the same way. We will stick to the rule of law [which is] obvious and plain for everyone to see," he said.

Dr Mahathir said the government intends to be consistent in whatever it does.

He said Malaysia will remain a "very business-friendly" nation.

Badly managed? U don’t study at all MRCB always finish project earlier or on time, it earning rise to 149% this qtr, badly managed is not the right word definitely. It has been short for the recent election fall also due to cancellation of hsr even it does not have any financial effect and project not even started.... it should recover back to .9 at least!
