Whether the factory is here or in Thailand as long the cost is lower with demand supplied from Thailand then the profit should be spectacular.

Good company iz very cheap. But if you believe their brand name, i thinl they can go very far in middle east and whole asian mkt. The mgt style also very good. Stable and expandijg carefully.

i think i want to set up a portfolio. 30% of capital on good quality companies. passive investing style. really LT holdings say min 10 years.

i would include Panamy in.

Bro, this is my personal opinion / analysis and it is not just simply tembak.

To me, if Panamy is to eventually shift the entire manufacturing operations out of Malaysia, you need to ask the following:

1. Will the overseas operations be still under the umbrella of the Malaysian plc?
2. Or will they set up a new subsidiary directly under Panasonic Japan?

If event No. does 2 takes place, then the Malaysian operations will be scaled down to just a distribution arm. If that materialises, you need to ask the following:

1. Will Panamy be able to maintain its profit margins as well as dividend payments as it does now?
2. If it can't maintain, then what would be a more realistic value for Panamy shares

Take a look at BAT.

Hence that's why I hope that they privatise the company.

Btw, that could be another reason why the management is reluctant to declare bonus shares by capitalising on their retained earnings of more than RM 1/2 bil. Distribution business does not require high paid-up capital.

As mentioned earlier, just my opinion / analysis but is also not simply tembak.

I am also still holding this counter. But like what I mentioned earlier, I would prefer a privatisation exercise if the company eventually decides to relocate its entire manufacturing operations overseas.

I doubt if they will do a share split. Companies like Panamy does not really need to implement a share split to improve liquidity as I don't think they are out to attract investors, more so from individuals.

Dividend yield is good this round bcoz of the very high special dividend declared, most likely to appease those shareholders who have been clamouring for bonus during previous AGMs. Unlikely to be a yearly affair.
