why? The company has poor management. not generating consistent profits...does not have any clear competitive advantage except relying on Petronas patronage. Has no clear monopoly in the market..suffer from market pricing flunctuation..seriously...i dunno why petronas bother with this company at all.

misc should sell off misc logistics..shity company to have as their subsidiary...they have a loss making cold storage warehouse in pulau indah that is incurring heavy losses

Kong73, Should? Fundamentally, MISC core business focused more on LNG; then the Marine & Heavy Engineering is with MHB. There's a rumors/speculate (be careful) that MISC is to be revamp to it's original business. Coming June; something attractive may be offered to their staff (rumors). Let's share all the infos, consider the rumors & speculate info for general knowledge and be wise to discuss in this forum.

oklah..i share another one which i also do not know whether to believe or not.. got from a third party source (not validated...so be extremely careful with this info..don't say i did not warn you). The share price seems to be trending down reaching all time low...so maybe there is a financial reason behind it.

"misc full year income for 2012 is expected to be below analyst expectations by 10-13% (conservative number).Their finance team have underestimated the cost of exiting their liner business (have to accept a lower sale valuation for their container vessels as they liquidate their assets) and may incur further write off. In June, when they expected to complete the exit of the liner business completely, it is rumoured that a VSS scheme is on the cards to reduce their manpower."

Gd.Morning. Indeed, Kong73, same rumors, same info, same time. Speculations take parts this time around for MISC. Fly to B'worth port the other day to witness myself as it was speculate tht they have remove their containers/cargo for some reason. They did. And the VSS, they have talked about it. The co. will be revamp to its original businesses which is to be focused back to LNG. That is the right thing to do in my opinion. So, what all this got to do with us? :)

for me,next support RM4.20.buy at RM4.25 and below... don't panic this stock.buy small and if down again do averagedown.. still good stock compared NCB... same owner PNB.. target price average RM6.00.

Cheese, you sound very tired of waiting and lost of flow direction of waiting. Please remember not to trade with emotions. So how to trade without emotion? We just trade.
In this kind of market condition, EU vs US, JP Morgan matter, Malaysia scenario etc. we have to consider all aspect, all area or even consider to read all online newspaper. GLC by all means a current government controlled company. Indeed, not all GLC performed as expected, but at least before GE announced, say if we hold 10 GLC, and if 100% hit at 1/10, at least the trading advantage are there (1/10 principle). Don't you think so?
