MISC (MISC, 3816, Trade and service sector) after the exit of the high operating costs of the container transportation business, will focus on seven stable business growth, so the performance is expected to be improved, and believe the next few quarters do not need to make provision for loss. Lal said that the company will completely withdraw from the six Yuemiao container transportation business in the business to cease operating this loss, it is expected that the Company's performance will be improved. This business for many years at a loss, coupled with an oversupply of fierce competition situation, MISC eventually decided to withdraw from. The company's previous financial year facing the loss of RM1.2 billion, mainly out of the provision of container transport operations. At the same time, MISC also announced to exit the business, start selling the vessel, and at present only a small part of the vessel to be off sale. George Ratilal revealed that these vessels are sold based on market prices, but did not set out the buyers of the vessel. MISC companies exit the occasion of the container transportation business in cities like Sydney, Melbourne, India, New Zealand, Singapore and other related business agent office will also be shut down. The future, the company will focus in the other seven with stable growth businesses, including oil and chemical business, the business of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil tankers. George Ratilal added: "The prospect of steady business, recurring income, so we are confident that after the exit of the high cost of container transportation business can achieve better performance." The market for leasing tankers outlook, MISC Company believes that the next few years continued downturn in the pattern, which is based due to the excess production. Unless the market demand fully absorb the supply, the overall situation will be improved, but how long it takes, is still unknown. However, liquefied natural gas business has good prospects, because of Japan's experience with natural disasters and the test of a nuclear power plant, this area has good growth, there are more of the industry to build a liquefied natural gas tanker. The same time, the MISC holds 22 liquefied natural gas tankers, five for third-party industry, most of the rest used for the national petroleum engineering. The company also provide services around the world and seek the opportunity to participate in the project. MISC capital expenditures for the construction of super-large oil tankers (VLCC). As of the 2011 fiscal year, the company received the approval and signing of the tanker involved in the capital of 3.3 billion ringgit; In addition, shipbuilding capital of 6.1 billion ringgit has been approved in 2023 for future use, and for the majority to oil tankers Lord. Since the MISC companies face a loss and announced its withdrawal from the container transportation business, the stock price fell sharply. George Ratilal said that the shipping industry by key in the field to face the same fate only MISC company's stock price performance is the most sensitive. He therefore hoped that the company's net profit performance improved, the stock can rebound. MISC company fell 7 cents to close at 3.88 ringgit on volume of 4,213,200 shares. Asked MISC whether the company will withdraw from other business or open up new business, the company's management said it would consider in a volatile situation, we can maintain a competitive business. In addition, for the views of the national oil company MISC, George Ratilal, as an investor, Petronas of course want to see the MISC can turn a profit as soon as possible, and I believe the latter in the right direction, core competition competitiveness has continued to strengthen.

4.65 to 4.70 is the final destination of this rally, i think. Hitting bearish trendline that established since 21 July 2011. Take profit there or earlier. Just my opinion.

LABUAN

FIRE broke out early today on board a chemical/palm oil tanker of MISC Berhad here, causing a loud explosion which rocked Labuan, and has claimed one life as of now.

Three people were injured in the fire, which occurred on board the vessel, Bunga Alpinia, and an operation has been mounted to search for one missing person, according to a fire and rescue team.

The cause of the 2.30am incident is still under investigation.

Labuan has gained recognition as an oil and gas hub, and it is home to many international oil and gas companies.

MISC said in a statement that the 38,000 DWT IMO II vessel had 29 crew, comprising 23 Malaysians and six Filipinos. It said 24 of the crew had been brought to shore.

The fire also caused an explosion aboard the vessel which was at the jetty of the Petronas Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd terminal near Pulau Enoe in the Rancha-Rancha Industrial Zone.

According to a source at the emergency unit of Labuan Hospital, the dead man was Malaysian Syahril Azmi Baharudin, who had succumbed to burns.

The preliminary list of people brought to the hospital bore the names of Malaysians Zahari Hashim, Mohd Hanafi Khairil, Mohd Nazim Kamsani and of Filipinos Colangoy and Krrol Salalv An (rpt) Krrol Salalv An.

Federal Territory of Labuan Fire and Rescue Department director Zainal Madasin said 64 firemen were continuing to fight the blaze on the tanker, which was seen to be listing.

Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad said in a statement that it had taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all personnel at its subsidiary, Petronas Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd, near where the fire incident took place.

A nearby building owned by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) suffered damage to the ceiling, windows and doors due to the resulting strong vibrations.

Following the incident, the operations of the Patau-Patau Power Station owned by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) located adjacent to the terminal was temporarily halted for safety reasons.

SESB managing director Abdul Razak Sallim (rpt) Sallim said this was to enable the fire and rescue personnel to take the necessary preventive and safety measures.

The channelling of gas from Petronas Chemicals Methanol to the Patau-Patau power station was stopped immediately until after the situation returned to normal and it was safe, he said in a statement.

Abdul Razak said the temporary shutdown was expected to affect SESB's capability

The company's first-half loss narrowed by 54.5 percent, Mongolia loss of 84.12 million ringgit; turnover fell 6.1 percent to 4.7 billion 91.01 million ringgit. The company's turnover fell mainly due to the decline in petroleum and chemical business income caused by lower oil shipping and revenue reduction in the number of days. Aframaxes and super-large oil tankers (VLCC) Quarterly freight rates rose by an average of 21.6 to 65.6 percent, but its oil revenues still fell 11.5 percent due to the operation and benefits of the number of days to reduce. However, mobile offshore production unit commenced in August, and the old and new project development of the heavy machinery to help slow down the oil and chemical business turnover slipped to the impact. In addition, the company's pretax profit rose offshore business is good, store the increased contribution of the terminal and the oil business losses narrowed.
